We had a fantastic stay at this small cosy luxury boutique hotel. The well-appointed and comfortable room provided the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The staff was amazing, incredibly friendly, and always ready to help, making us feel right at home. The pool, with its scenic view, was a highlight, offering a tranquil place to unwind. The superb breakfast was a delightful start to our day, and the delicious dinners we enjoyed for five evenings at the hotel were a culinary delight. The hotel is situated on top of a hill with great views of the ocean and I enjoyed morning walks down to the beach every morning, it only takes 15-20 minutes to walk down/up and it is nice to walk past the local friendly residents. Our stay was great, and everything worked smoothly and easily. Highly recommended!

The location of the hotel is difficult to find, but once there it’s a beautiful, tranquil spot. The place smells divine and the rooms are well cleaned daily. We stayed three nights and enjoyed a meal at the restaurant on the first. The food was good, but was our most expensive meal of our stay in Sri Lanka. Good food though! Room service was efficient and the teenagers loved the ease of ordering on an app! Swimming pool is lovely, sun loungers comfortable and monkeys swinging through the trees above adds to the experience. Would I recommend ? Yes, for a few nights’ break from the touring, it’s a lovely place to hideout.

Paradise set in the jungly hills with glorious views across the countryside & ocean. A truly special slice of heaven. Staff are great couldn’t be more helpful. Went with a small child, 18 months and were extremely accommodating when it came to food orders etc. only 5 mins in a tuktuk to the beach.

Everything about Tabula Rasa Resort was simple perfect. From the ambiance, the friendly staff, the good food and spectacular views from the turquoise pool. A real touch of luxury tucked away in the hills, with great nature spotting from the balcony. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Anouk who was extremely welcoming. I look forward to returning.

We stayed here in March 2024 and had a truly wonderful experience! We had a Dip Pool room which overlooked the jungle and the sea. You truly can watch the monkeys all around you whilst you dip! A magical experience! And the bird song…. Beautiful! We walked nearly every day down through the village to the most stunning beach area- quite often with no one or very few people on it! Walk back is up hill and sultry so take water! The hotel is as amazing as it is, due to the staff! Nothing is ever too much trouble ❤️ we were looked after wonderfully by the team but special thanks to Milinda, Sahan, Akila, Samira and kithmina. They were all so kind and attentive in making sure our stay was special. The food is great, we were half board and were happy to eat at the hotel. The chef, Mohan, was so kind in adapting some dishes for me as I’m pescatarian. Again nothing was too much trouble ❤️ Plenty to do in the area, or not if you’d prefer just to lie back and relax in the hotel. Literally my own criticism is they need more beds around the pool. 4 moveable beds with 2 umbrellas are fine but the built in beds, whilst a nice idea, are in the shade from 10:30 onwards.if the hotel is busy you’ll be in the shade all da. We at least had our room and pool if we couldn’t get a bed but not everyone has the option. I’ve never stayed at a hotel where the staff buy you a leaving gift, with such special thanks to Upeka for that! And also for being such a wonderful human and adding to the ‘special’ of this hotel! An amazing hotel, in a wonderful country with beautiful people ❤️

Stylish accommodation and very well maintained pool and gardens with stunning views across the south coast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and the staff incredibly helpful and friendly. Good food with more of a western twist which might not be to everyone’s taste if you’re looking for more authentic cuisine but I can’t fault it as it was still all delicious. We would certainly recommend the spa as we loved our treatments. An incredibly relaxing and peaceful stay, we didn’t want to leave!

This was a true slice of paradise! Beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the mountains and ocean. The staff was incredible. I woke up early to do yoga on the pool deck and swim. I felt like I was alone in a stunning picture watching the sun rise and hearing the jungle sounds. The chef made us special food to accommodate our diets and the owner constantly checked in to make sure we were happy. As you go up the windy road to approach the resort, you have no idea what lies ahead😎
