マグナソン ホテル カッパー クラウン(Magnuson Copper Crown)

A good hub for our exploration of Houghton & the Keweenaw. Hotel staff was friendly and breakfast was great each morning. Certainly an older property that could use some updates, but felt more 'cozy' than 'dated.' Only real complaint was that our minifridge didn't keep leftovers cold.

The first room we checked into was very cold and we didn't see a thermostat to turn the heat up- fan only blew cold air. We were getting ready to leave and go to a different hotel, but they were able to put us in a different room. This room had a thermostat but the only base board heater that worked was in the bathroom- which made the bathroom very hot and the rest of the room just kind of ok. My daughter found dark hair on the bed she was going to be using (and we're all blonde). The refrigerator didn't have a freezer, so our ice cream melted. There was no microwave in the room. There was only 1 towel in the bathroom. Employees were very nice, and the pool was what we expected. The hot tub was actually hot and had jets that felt nice on my back. The bed was hard, pillows were too soft- no support for head/neck. Room was very small. We will not stay here again.

So I didn’t actually get to stay at the copper crown because i went to check in and as I was checking in i saw the sign that said the pool was closed. this was the only reason we wanted to stay here was to have the little kids swim and hangout on new year’s eve. the workers were amazing and super understanding and switched me over to the super 8. no big deal at all but they should really list online that the pool area is closed.

Second time staying here within the last year, and plan to stay here again in the future.

Room was freezing. Electric heat took an hour to heat room to 67. 2 dirty towels left on bathroom floor and one behind bathroom door. Hair on bathroom floor and shower, bathroom mirror very dirty. Not impressed. Have to question if bathroom even got clean.

The smell in the hallway and inside the room was pretty bad. It smelled like mold - we opened the window - but that didnt really help. Breakfast area very small - limited options. This was just 1 night stay.

room was affordable. A very basic room and accompanying facilities. Nothing fancy. Nothing wrong with the place.

A charming hotel right downtown Hancock within walking distance of most businesses. Convenient location limited parking on site old style, but very clean and great service!

Older hotel but comfortable. Sink was not as clean as Inwould have hoped but maybe it looked like that due to the age.
