Lots of good points to the hotel Superb room! really large, well equiped, very quiet being in the roof! really comfortable beds - slept very well. Bathroom fine but a bit dated, and the shower flooded the bathroom floor however hard we tried to stop it! Breakfast was good - varying selection of all manner of fruit, cereals, yoghurts, breads, pastries, cold cuts. Hot food station too. Really enjoyed our breakfasts! The reception staff were SO helpful especially Nandi - hope that's right... went out of her way to book us on a tour to the fabulous World of Kitchens Museum (HIGHLY recommend this museum) to tell us how to get from A to B... saved us a lot of money by telling us about 'group' tram all day tickets too. Tram station 2 minute walk from the hotel but easy 45 mins walk to centre of town which we did a lot. Can walk back via the park too! BIG down side....NO provision for evening food bar room service.. .well if they condescend to actually give it to you! We arrived Monday afternoon......Monday Pelikan Bar closed (unless a smoker, stench inside prevents non smokers going in it!) Monday 12 Apostel restaurant closed too - rest of the week it was doing Xmas parties so not open to hotel guests! The Stromboli restaurant 5 minute walk was really good for Monday but fully booked for the rest of the week!!!!! We saw THREE other guests getting 'room service' served in the reception area as we sat there talking (we don't go on holiday to eat room service nightly in our room!) so, seeing a good looking club sandwich being served we asked the waiter if we could order the same. Yes, he said... he started to take the order, suddenly said... Oh I can't multi task, I can't do this, sorry, you must go to the Pelican Bar instead and walked off!!!! we were furious! So for the rest of the week all 4 of us ate at the Xmas markets and had a far better choice of food, served piping hot by happy people glad to have our custom and money! I told reception what has happened... I asked to speak to a duty manager or manager.... no duty manager, hotel manager in Munich... so I asked who was in charge... 'a good question' was the answer... I gave up! We of course wont be going back to a Sheraton, this is our second below standard stay in one of their hotels. There are plenty of other great hotels who know how to treat their guests properly!
We spent one night in this comfortable hotel just outside Hannover central station (10mins walk). Being HHonors Gold member, we were provided with a room upgrade to a nice, large and quiet room. The room and bathroom were very clean, but felt a bit dated, so a renovation would be very welcome. We are also not big fans of showers in a bath-tub, so a nice walk-in shower would have been better. Staff at the hotel were friendly, helpful and professional. Breakfast was good as well, with a good choice of food and drinks, although it did get very busy after 9:00am. We would consider staying here again when next in Hannover, especially if the hotel is renovated.
. We were mainly pleased with our 5 night stay. The bedroom and bathroom were clean and the beds comfortable. The lights were excellent with good adjustable lights over the beds. However, there was poor storage space in the bedroom (although good in the bathroom) limited to 2 small open shelves and a high narrow hanging space, which is at right angles to a normal wardrobe, which made it almost impossible to retrieve clothes at the back, especially if you are short (5 feet 2 inches) like me. I regard it as a significant design fault. The decor was very modern with swirls everywhere -the carpet made me initially feel slightly dizzy. We were pleased that we could access Sky and BBC on the television. The location could have been better, although this was compensated by the price. It took around 20 minutes to walk to the station (or longer if like us you are slow), from which one could take a bus, or taxi to the rather spread out tourist sites (we took quite a few taxis from the hotel). However, it would probably be fine for someone younger and fitter than us. Most of the restaurants were also not particularly close. The breakfast was pricey (and there were no local cafes to substitute) but generally very good with the exception of the coffee from a machine, which was OK but no more and the scrambled eggs, which were treated in some way, so they came out in homogenised pellets. The service provided by reception was generally very helpful, although they were occasionally overwhelmed by the number of guests arriving. However, our request for the location of a laundry was not responded to and when we arrived we were misinformed about its location.
Desk staff were always so friendly, on arrival our room did smell like cigarette smoke but of course this is no ones fault, the smell was fine with a window open, room was so bright, cozy & homey, parking was a little on the expensive side but there is parking on the street for a smaller fee

ゲゲストLet’s clean up. Different kind of rooms: full renovated or just old. A lot of rooms are very small, the shower is ridiculously narrow. Parking area is small and slots are tight as well. Internet is ok. Breakfast is great. Waiters are sort of arrogant (just inadeguate) and do not accept critics (I have seen one “fighting” with a guest that was asking maybe not in a polite way (?) for better service). Dinner is also fine but for 4-6 people else the kitchen will not be able to handle the order. Hannover has a big exhibition area: all the city is pricy and this hotel is following the same main steam but without solid reasons. Not suggested.
We went for a 50 year bday...what a mistake..we had been 2 x and I especially chose this hotel on the way to Denmark because i knew it..arrived in hotel late...got a room on 1 st floor no airco and fridge not working. Called reception. Answer: our technical team hasn't reported anything.. airco working fine...my answer : but I am telling u it doesn't work...1 collegue came to say come to reception and chg room this colleague very friendly. second person saying ur room is fine....we go down and got the most unfriendly and rude receptionist I have ever met. I have worked in several hotels as a receptionist so I know really well what this work is all about..but this guy...I reserved this hotel making a detour on our route to Denmark but had I known I would never have done this I paid for a superior room..no airco no fridge..was transferred with rolling eyes and shaking head into room with huge lump of hair on floor dirty bathroom glass and had to go back to rude receptionist to get bed done for my child who had just had operation and wasn't feeling well..we have been staying in a lot of Novotel hotels..london paddington Hammersmith hannover brussels...but this leaves a very bad experience and I am so sad I chose this hotel for such a special occasion.
The old Hauptpost became a hotel! You may feel the spirit of 1970s bureaucrats on the corridors, but they made a nice hotel in the middle of the city. One point down for the ”create an account” WLAN, ain't gonna happen, that's 2000th. Half point down for the breakfast, namely the ONE coffee machine for how many guests Eights points down for the staff. Night reception, over day reception (we booked a conference room all in!) All poor. Felt like they we disturb them with our one question. Very unpleasant Rooms are okay, average German hotel. Restaurant kitchen was really great, tasty fish, pork, great. No recommendation for business meetings, the con rooms are not sufficiently prepared for 2020th. All in all you better pray for having the right people being on shift.
Einchecken sehr einfach. Personal sehr freundlich. Schwierig war nur eine Rechnung zu erhalten. Ansonsten gern zu empfehlen, da sehr preiswert.
