Had niet goed opgelet bij boeken, maar afgaande op de naam (Royal Palace), een bovengemidde prijs en foto's van prachtige kamers leek dit hotel een goede keus en de naam schept toch ook wel verwachtingen.. We kregen een warm welkom door vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Maar bij aankomst op de kamer werd het al snel minder. De kamer was bijna volledig gevuld door het bed. We ontdekten daarna een plas water naast het bed, die bleek veroorzaakt door de minibar. Uitzicht op de stad, bleek uitzicht op naburig pand op twee meter afstand. Beddegoed was klam en niet schoon, omdat we er niet in konden slapen, is dit vervangen. Televisie ging wel aan, maar alle zenders gaven zeer slecht beeld door ruis. Volgende ochtend ontbijt was ook een drama, er waren maar ongeveer tien tafeltjes, dus moesten we wachten tot iemand klaar was met eten. Keuze van het ontbijt was overigens ook zeer beperkt. Verder moet je eerst drie trappen op naar de lift en vanuit de lift weer een trap naar de juiste verdieping. Ik ga het niet eens hebben over de slechte afwerking e.d. Het was alles bij elkaar voor ons reden om de t****e nacht waarvan we het geld niet terug kregen niet te blijven. Ook het aanbod van de manager voor een "betere" kamer hebben we niet aanvaard. De toestand waarin dit hotel verkeert was te erg. Ik zou er nog niet gratis blijven. Er zou eigenlijk een regeling moeten zijn dat als er sprake is van misleidende informatie er toch een (gedeeltelijke) restitutie mogelijk moet zijn...

My stay at this hotel was beyond all expectations. The service is excellent, the staff is very friendly and professional. It was a pleasure to stay at Royal Palace Hotel.

A fabulous location. The Lake was at the end of the road. We walked everywhere! Near to great Cafes and restaurant. The staff are super helpful. The room is neat but perfect. Spotlessly clean. A Boutique Hotel just perfect for a city break in a wonderful city

Excellent and friendly service, nice touch with welcome drink. The rooms are beautiful, you can’t beat the location close to all museums and top notch service. We stayed for 4 time and found it super convenient for our stay.

This hotel is in a very good location if you want to be in the center of the old town. The rooms are very small but have the basics. The breakfast good. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The location is good, walking distance from some main attractions,Jimmy and the staff is helpful. At breakfast you can choose one dish from the menu and has access to coffee and toasted bread

Excellent value for money. Jim and staff were super friendly and helpful with all questions or requests. The room was spacious, very large bed and bathroom was clean. Everything was functional and worked as expected. Definitely will stay here again!

The staff were great but the condition if the property was poor. Windows didn’t close so it was noisy, col and I could smell fumes from the traffic below. I had two leaks from my bathroom ceiling the first was fixed but the second wasn’t fixed after two days.
