Casa Lunass with Art in Havana Center 3

I am a woman solo traveler. Rosemary’s reception and tips were gold! She gave me essencial tips in terms of money, safety, and must-do activities which were paramount!! It’s clean, safe, pleasent, 5-10min walk tô Havana vieja. I Recommend it! As It was my first day stay, It was really helpful to get the rest of the trip better planned. It is also where I spent my last day in Cuba. Rosemary encouraged me to visit Cuban Art Factory before I left and It was an Excellent tip. I loved It! Centro Havana May seem scary at a first glance for a Brazilian woman like me, but It is totally safe. Enjoy It! Thanks a lot Rosemary! See you soon!

Lunass is an amazing hostel!! It is very well decorated and excellently cleaned and serviced every day. The staff are helpful and friendly. The owner/manager is available and caring. They are all generous with information on how to travel in Havana and Cuba. And will do almost anything to make sure your plans work out. I stayed there for a month while I explored Havana and it was like going home at the end of each day. I love this place and would highly recommend it. Hopefully, I will get the chance to go back sometime!!

Extremely beautiful, safe and heartwarming place. The owners were so kind and lovely, very helpful with money exchange and advices. It is also ideally located, close to old Havana, the malecon, etc. The room was cleaned every day. Cannot recommend this place enough!

I was pressured into changing money right away, even though I arrived late at night and was exhausted. I later found out, after being lectured about not trusting others, that the exchange rate given was bad (250/1 dollar instead of 280). Later I found many notes in the bundles of ‘1000’ given were short- some contained only 600. So I was really short changed. The breakfast was also laughable- on the first day, it was light- a thin omelette, a couple of tiny bits of toasted bread and some fruit. I had to buy a second breakfast in town to set me up for a day of exploring, negating the point of doing it in your hostel for ease. The second day, there was no bread. On the third, no egg, just a roll with a thin smear of something that tasted off. I got one inch of coffee (pictured). I didn’t say anything because I knew Cuba is going through a food shortage, so I attributed it to that, although I did think the cost charged was very inflated for what it was given the cost of food locally. However, since then I have discovered how generous breakfasts are in other places I have stayed- loads of egg, bread, cheese and fruit, coffee and juice, even pancakes- for the same cost- so I realise this was really stingy especially because you could buy all of this stuff more easily in Havana than other places. It was one of my only negative experiences in Cuba. Stay in a casa particular where they really take care of guests.

Description described by Casa Lunass is spot on! Good sized room with an on suite, you need the mini bar it was great to have that in your room and spacious communal area and balcony was great for chilling and listening to the people down below or across from you. The host Yamilee is a wealth of knowledge and so helpful, take in everything that she says as you'll need it. By the way if you weren't fit before you'll get fit staying at Casa Lunass. Thank you again Yamilee and Rosemary for having us.

What a super place - in a great location with wonderfully friendly hosts and other tourists. This is a must stay in Havana if you get the chance - you will not be disappointed. Thanks to Yamilee and Rosemary for making me feel like family and going the extra mile to make my stay PERFECT.

We actually stayed at Casa Lunass right before the beginning of Covid, so this review comes a bit late - but it's hopefully still helpful for travellers who are looking for a fantastic place to stay in Havana. The apartment is on the upper floors of the building, so you can catch a nice view of the area from the balcony. We had breakfast there every day, which was also excellent. The location is perfect to explore Havana on foot, you can walk to the Old Town in minutes or just explore the neighborhood. Our host Kenia was absolutely lovely and we're forever grateful for all her help, be it with advice during our planned stay in Havana or support with booking casas particulares in our next destinations - and especially when we had to rearrange our travel plans a bit due to the exceptional circumstances. We hope to come back to Cuba very soon and will definitely stay at Casa Lunass again!

I stayed in the balcony room for two weeks in January and it became my home in Havana. The hosts are wonderful people who really made me feel like a part of the house. It's perfectly located near both the ocean and downtown which allowed me to go on short walks exploring the city and come back in time for a lovely dinner. The room is spacious and clean, the food and service wonderful, and Kenia has been the most helpful and kind host as well as friend. Havana is a very, very special place made even more amazing by my stay at Casa Lunass. I will miss it dearly and definitely hope to come back again!

This is a very nice Casa Particular. I stayed there multiple times during my two months stay in Cuba. It’s become my home in Havana. The owners are really nice people, very helpful and friendly. The rooms are great, spacious, clean and with a nice balcony to do some people watching from. All in all, a very nice experience!
