Premier Inn Hayle

I haven’t used Premier Inns for years and always been an advocate of the brand. But this last couple of months I’ve been using the ones in Cornwall. They’re awful, as far as very dated compared to others. And a tip; take a pair of grips to remove the stupid water saving tap fittings that spray water over the bathroom as opposed to in the sink like a normal tap. It’s as if some woke teenagers have started working at Premier Inn with an ambition to tick all the eco-boxes, by putting stupid adapters on the taps to stop people from using the water, cutting the bulbs above the mirrors in the bathrooms and cutting back wherever possible to make Premier Inn’s almost at the reduced level of a Travel Lodge. Very disappointed.

the room itself was lovely. very comfortable and relaxing, with nice views, despite being right next to a main road. it was also very quiet. the room is well equipped. tea and coffee supplies are minimal, but you can help yourself to more at the front desk any time you choose. the wifi is included, and easy to get online, but no details are given, so you have to figure it out yourself. it's right next door to a Brewers Faire, providing cheap and cheerful pub grub, which is pleasant and relaxing enough, but often has issues with staffing levels. I had a lovely, hot bath. the hair and body wash pump on the wall is hard to use while in the bath. the wash itself is nice enough, and has a pleasant, unisex scent. the only real disappointment was how disinterested the front desk staff were in the fact that some of the things we bought from the vending machine got stuck. we were told to give the machine a shake, and when that didn't work, it was suggested we go over to the petrol station because "you'll definitely get it then" we asked if there was any way to get either the product or a refund (the prices were quite high, for the convenience of being right there) and were told to try asking in the morning. tried another item that also got stuck, but did come out with a shake. in the morning, there was nobody at the front desk. and there were several more stuck items in the vending machine, all on a shelf that obviously hadn't been put back in the right position, and was obstructing things from dropping.

I have stayed at this premier inn many times, I always find the staff pleasant and personable, this time my experience was no different. A great base for getting out and about, beach walks and shops near by

Great hotel, very friendly staff! Management is 5* a lovely stay would definately recommend to anyone! Beds are very comfy and rooms are overall nice and cosy, lovely location and always very clean! Cannot recommend the staff enough, always happy to help with a smile.

picked for location and on recommendation of friends who has stayed in the chain on a number of occasions. Very disappointed at the 2nd floor room accessible only by stairs, no guest laundry, heating that turned off at 21deg turned on spasmodically when reset, very deep bath difficult to get into to shower. Attached restaurant needs a big steam clean, crocery, cultlery, tables the lot. on the plus side the bed was very comfortable, wifi ok and parking free.

Good location and was convenient to shops and attractions that I wanted to go to. Only a short drive from the beach. The hotel was tidy and Phoebe the receptionist was very helpful. The premier inn restaurant was okay, but a bit average overall a good stay.

Last minute booking for work. Arrived and welcomed by Hayden who was welcoming and polite even for 1030pm he was quick efficient to allow me to get to my room after traveling for nearly 5 hours. Room was clean a little dated but overall great night sleep. Didn’t use any on site restaurant as way later arrival and away at 6 o start a busy days work.

The premier inn is over a mile of flat ground from the train station but is served by a fairly regular bus (the Tinner line). Nice touch that they offered other types of teabags in reception (eg Earl grey). There's a mcdonalds nearby door if you do not have time for the restaurant that is next door that also serves the travelodge over the other side of the road. I was recommended to book in advance for a taxi, which worked. The room had been modernised with better storage / shelving.
