新天鵝堡在山上，舊天鵝堡在山腳，之間步行20-30分鐘。私家車無法上山，除非是此酒店住客。 這家酒店是新天鵝堡附近唯一酒店。適合大清早就去拍日出。住宿環境還不錯，有當地風格。

Amazing location. You get to drive up almost to the castle and leave the car there. We were able to do an early castle tour then go back and check out. Great view of castle from our room. Shared bathroom but that wasn’t really an issue. Great breakfast. Staff friendly . Highly recommend for convenience

I am so disappointed and sad to be writing this review. Neuschwanstein is a magical place for me, this is my fifth visit to the castle and third stay as a guest at Schlossrestaurant Neuschwanstein. We stayed here overnight for our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived, the staff gave us attitude. It was not the warm Bavarian welcome that I remembered. The staff were dismissive and rude. It wasn’t that they did anything “wrong” per se, but they literally scoffed at our very basic requests and even rolled their eyes amongst each other when we requested help to order a taxi as we only had internet on our phones and couldn’t call. We would have walked (like I have every other time), but I am pregnant and we have two 30kg suitcases and hand luggage. I’m very upset to say that after visiting and staying here since I was 16, I won’t be returning or recommending this place as I have so many times before.

Location was awesome! 3 * for hotel (similar to a nice hostel), however, they get 10 * for the location. If you have a booking at this hotel, you get to drive up the mountain and get close to Neuschwanstein castle. Also, everyone leaves after 5 pm and you have the area to yourself. My husband and I walked to Mary's Bridge early in the morning and we were the only ones on the bridge as the sun was rising. Spectacular! I would highly recommend this hotel for the location. Also, we ate at the restaurant and the meals were delicious and the staff was very friendly. We sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine and view of the castle.

Great location if you want to be the closest to the castle (about 10 minute uphill walk on paved road). You have a view of the castle at night from the back patio. The rooms themselves are okay, but shared bathrooms (down the hall and a few steps) in the middle of the night for an older couple, maybe not so much. Just something we will remember for future trips. There were a group of people sitting below in the patio area until about 10pm that were pretty noisy. Not so good after a long day of travel. Nice to have the castle area to yourself whether you are doing a walk in the evening or in the morning. On our route the closest food was in Fussen which is just a few miles away.

Liked: The location is what makes this place bearable. It's so near the castle, you look up and see the turrets when you park, so it saves that monster walk up the drive. You will be less than 5 mins from the castle, to make a nice early visit for photos in the morning. Disliked · The hotel felt more like a youth hostel. We arrived nearby around 6, and knowing that the hotel restaurant closed at 3 ish, decided to get dinner before checking in. Unfortunately I'd not spotted that they want you to check in by 5! I called the hotel as soon as I realised, so we drove straight over, luckily there is an intercom, which connected us to someone who gave a code to open a key box to let us in. The inside is sadly lacking in any style, it's perfectly clean and functional though, just very dated and bland, pity as the outside looks so pretty. We had a room with shared bathroom as it was all that was available when we booked. It is the first and last time we ever do that! The 2 showers and 2 toilets were again clean, but the noise of people getting up during the night, doors locking and unlocking, was a bit too much for us. It would have been ok if the price reflected the rooms, but we have been paying around this much per night our whole road trip (£100 ish) and stayed in many fantastic places. Unfortunately this just didn't live up to the price tag. Breakfast was quite a nice buffet, except for the flies all over the bread rolls. This was the only time we saw any staff, as non are there if you arrive after 5pm. So there's nowhere to get a drink or food at all overnight.

C'est tout simplement le meilleur endroit où loger pour visiter le célèbre et magnifique château de Neuschwanstein. Situé dans la partie piétonne montant au château, vous éviterez une marche en montée sèche d'1 km à partir du village en contrebas. Cela permet de pouvoir visiter facilement le château lors du premier créneau le lendemain matin et ainsi d'éviter le gros de la foule. Et surtout, quel privilège de pouvoir monter en 15min au point de vue célèbre de Marienbrucke pour voir le château a la lumière du soleil couchant, en très très petit comité. Quand on lit qu'en pleine journée il faut attendre 30min ne serait-ce que pour pouvoir monter sur le pont... Ça n'est tout simplement pas la même expérience. La chambre était spacieuse et très propre (déco un peu kitsch, mais on fait avec). Petit déjeuner buffet avec un large choix sucré et salé.

Excellent emplacement - personnel très accueillant Les chambres sont simples mais propres - attention les sanitaires et salles de douche sont communes aux autres chambres Pas de possibilité de dîner le soir (compter 15mn à pied à travers la route dans la forêt pour descendre au village… ça monte fort au retour !!)
