Drifting Sands Beachfront Retreat

We loved our stay at Drifting Sands and are already looking forward to visiting again. Claire is a wonderful host with lots of local knowledge about the area. The beds are all so comfortable with quality bedding and linen making for a brilliant nights sleep. The house is an eclectic mix put together very tastefully with an eye for detail. Being right on the beach is amazing for sunset lovers. Highly recommend Claire and her lovely home for a relaxing West coast holiday. Thank you Claire x Look forward to visiting again.

Simply a beautiful residence, tastefully decorated, with a great kitchen, sensational al fresco room, plus absolute beachfront. We enjoyed sunset bonfires each night, alfresco dining in the cabana room, and the outside bathtub. The beds were amazingly comfy, and just a short stroll into town and credit to Claire for making such a magical place

We had a great time here!! Hokitika rocks! The house had so many cool touches, lots of retro nostalgia, in the most amazing setting. Loved the appointments through the house, great beds, awesome linen and stylish everywhere you look. We loved the 30 second walk to the beach, bonfires, the glow worm dell (magical) toasting marshmallows, sea caves, volleyball on the beach and not to mention the awesome local cafes!! We can't want to come back for another West Coast adventure!

Very comfortable, very well thought out, interesting features in this place. Just a really cool place, and an equally cool (and friendly and extremely helpful) host. The weather we had had riding up the Wilderness Trail from Ross was very wet but with plenty of dryers to choose from, that was no problem. It would have been great to be able to use the outdoor bath and fire - both reasons to go back. Highly recommended

Drifting sands is one of the coolest beach houses I've seen. I wish we stayed more than one night! Claire is very friendly and welcoming, she has put so much thought and effort into making her place one to remember. We will be back!

Perfect beach location. Can walk to town and glow worm dell. Beautiful sunsets can be soaked from outdoor bath, BBQ or fire. Fantastic vibe with up-cycle boutique at it’s best. Worth every penny. Plan to return.

這家流沙海濱公寓的裝潢非常美麗，酒店裡面很安靜，員工也很友好。酒店的早餐十分美味，是由店主親自製作的。這家酒店的地段也很好，雖然你無法從露台上看到大海（我可以理解，畢竟這是一家家居式旅館）。住宿的時候還碰到了兩個麻煩：卧室的房間鎖不上，還有一個員工一直在討論政治，這是一個很有爭議的話題（他是支持川普的）。但這兩個麻煩都沒有完全影響到我的住宿體驗，即使卧室的門無法上鎖也沒有影響到。酒店裡的設施都很靠譜！注意：由於酒店的某種管理程序，酒店員工每六周就會更換一次。
