Wonderfull place to spend your holidays. Great beach. Nice hotels. Diplomat beach resort by Hilton is greate for kids. Has it's one water slide. Good restaurants and bars. It's has happy hours to enjoy greate food and drinks for less money.
Mixed feelings on this review. Gave them the benefit of the doubt in a 4 instead of a 3. Probably would give a 3.5 if possible. The ambiance was actually amazing as well as the location. The room was actually perfect for what we were there for and that was a quick evening before catching our cruise the next day but would have met the needs for a 3-4 day trip as well. Love the little kitchen. The guy that checked us out was polite l, courteous and had a good vibe to him. The drawbacks. The bed was the biggest and I’m there to sleep and rest so that was a drag but thankful only one night. I have slept on worse but I’d give it a 4/10. The little bar there has so much potential with location and comfort. Could literally keep your guests right there if you had a better operation. The bartenders the night we were there were so slow and I mean slow because I’m very careful when I write anything negative about another and their job. One of them had zero energy like she was on sleeping meds. The drinks were horrible but reasonably priced if they were good drinks. I liked the live music and the guy was typical average for that kind of venue but super genuine and cool about what he was doing. I won’t lie, I would stay here again. The location is tough to beat with some great restaurants very close and the price was pretty solid. I could make the bed work for a 2-3 night trip for those conveniences.
My husband and I stayed here just one night - a stopover on our way elsewhere. It's a very nice place and I would recommend it, with a caveat or two. The room was clean and quite spacious and included a mini fridge & coffee maker. The bed was really comfortable. The pool area is very nice. The waterfall in the pool is a nice touch. There's plenty of seating (with some options for shade), and lots of palm trees and other topical plants. There's also a poolside bar - if you can catch it open. Marshall at the front desk was really friendly and helpful, and Robin -our shuttle driver from the airport - was too. There's not much nearby, so if you dont have a car, you're pretty much staying at the hotel (or taking Uber). The only food right by the place is a Dennys and a McDonalds -and a REALLY popular coffee shop. Our only issue was that we found out upon checking in that the restaurant and bar were closed for the day (New Year's Day). We looked at tons of hotels near the airport for our stopover, wanting 2 key amenities: An airport shuttle and a bar & restaurant. We didn't want to have to go out for dinner (esp without having a car) - just wanted to relax at the hotel. We chose this one because it had both - but so did plenty of others. I understand them wanting to give staff time off on NYD, but then please make it ABUNDANTLY clear when you're booking that those amenities will not be available! We could have made a different choice had we known. We walked a bit over a mile to get some food (it was a nice day and we're capable of the walk but..)
ゲゲストThe room was functional. We knew we’d be getting in late and only needed a place to sleep. We were drawn to this location for the cruise shuttle to the port of Miami (we flew into Fort Lauderdale). We were greeted by Victor when we first arrived and he was wonderfully accommodating, meeting us with smiles and jokes. Breakfast was again, functional. Nothing to write home about, but filled the wrinkle and got our morning started off okay. The price of our stay included the morning shuttle to the cruise port wrapped into it. I will say that it was decently priced for what we got. Room seemed clean, even if a bit dated and empty; it was quite spacious for laying bags out and not having to jump around. The bathroom is very small, like, uncomfortably small if you’re a remotely plus sized person. For a quick overnight, the property was fine. I would not do an extended stay here though.
