十年前來的這家酒店印象很好，今年來衞生差，最主要是服務態度太差了！前台可以説是惡劣至極！除了第一天到的時候那個老太太很好，其他人都是一堆垃圾。退房叫我站在那裡等了十幾分鍾，因為她要休息。房間不補充任何東西包括洗浴。攜程預訂寫明瞭有小孩，實際走的時候又收我的錢。吃個飯到處都是蒼蠅，沒有一點舒適！作為一個黑鑽用户，坦誠的告訴大家絕對不要來！

EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT , from the location to the restaurant and the large room

In August 2025, we stayed for three nights at this hotel with our family. In total, we had booked three rooms for ten people, including an eight-year-old girl with a gluten allergy. Due to an unexpected traffic jam, we arrived later than planned. Check-in went smoothly, and the restaurant chef was very helpful. He assured us that a gluten allergy would not be a problem and that we could simply mention it to the breakfast staff in the morning. However, when we did so at breakfast, the conversation was less straightforward. We were asked why this information had not been provided earlier. I had, in fact, already done so: a few days in advance, I had completed a questionnaire in which I clearly stated the gluten allergy. The chef was aware of it. I had also tried to notify the hotel by phone, but there was no answer, even though the website states that they are contactable until 10:00 p.m. In the end, I was reluctantly told to wait ten minutes. We found the overall service to be rather unfriendly, which was disappointing. Upon arrival at the restaurant, we were also informed that we needed to place our full order by 8:00 p.m., otherwise no food would be served. We complied, but by 9:00 p.m. everything was already closed. Afterwards, there was only one café/restaurant in the village open until 10:00 p.m., after which everywhere shut. This seems to be typical for Hopfen am See: after 10:00 p.m., there is very little to do or drink anywhere. For some travellers, this might be a drawback, especially for those who enjoy relaxing outdoors in the cooler air after sunset. Despite the beautiful nature, stunning views, and idyllic lakeside location, I would personally not choose this destination again. The hotel is charming but somewhat dated and does not have the needed air conditioning. On a positive note, there was always a solution for parking the car, even when the street was full (paying parking on the street). All in all, I had hoped for a more positive experience, but this review reflects honestly how we experienced our stay.

Loved the view of the lake and the mountains from our balcony, very spacious room

Hotel Geiger’s excellent panoramic suite is overlooking the lake and mountains. It has a spacious seating area, bathroom and balcony. Free WiFi, varied breakfast buffet, wellness and good restaurant. Super friendly and helpful staff. Bus stop in front of the door and 2 train stations in the area. Have enjoyed my stay so much again and booked again for next year.

The breakfast was the best! The dining room overlooks the beautiful lake and mountains and the food is really tasty. The room we got was a bit tucked in the back and had no view. It was very large and the beds were comfortable enough. It did get quite cold and we had no ability to adjust the heating. Note that there is no parking included with the hotel, there is only street parking and it is only free after 6 PM.

The view from top floor is amazing. The service is very good and responsive to everything we asked. The sauna is absolutely fantastic. On the one negative, the bed is minimally comfortable and the pillows need to be all replaced. Had to ask for extra pillows because there’s literally a handful of stuffing per pillow and adding a second pillow just didn’t help so sleep wasn’t great. Other than that everything is great.

Beautiful view and surroundings. Lovely place. Great area to walk around lake with a beautiful Mountain View. The staff was helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend.
