Kanansm retreat a home stay kind of property with 10 villas including 2 & 1 bedroom and a honeymoon cottage is an excellent choice for those who wish to stay away from more famous Munnar, Vagamon, or Thekkadi area. It’s hardly 2 hour drive from these location. Those who wish to stay in a calm, serene and totally peaceful environment, I will suggest this property. Located on the famous nadukani churam makes its pollution free zone. Not far from green berg resorts this provides excellent restaurant facility with great care and services. No complimentary food available but you can order items of your choice, yes you need to fix your menu slightly earlier, as they don’t keep frozen or microwave items in the kitchen, it taste fresh and nice. The cottages are like our home with attached bathrooms, living space cum dining, small kitchen (where unfortunately nothing is allowed to cook). Yes no kettle also provided or tea making facility as complimentary May be disadvantage! But if you order at restaurant, things will reach your place or fine dine at your cottage dinning table. The ambience is so nice, where you stay on the top of mountain with breathtaking views around. The ***ager Mr. Jacob, really nice and helpful guy. He will get you full attention 24x7, and excellent artist too with ***y of his classic paintings are displayed there in property. You can directly book with them with out any third part portals. Those who plan at weekends must book in advance as it’s almost full those days. You can park ur car in your cottage front. Yes big vehicles can’t reach there so they will get you through their 4x4! Few activities they provide against payment like 4x4 drives, tracking etc, which you can confirm with property. Mobile has week signals, so the property provide wifi again little week. But when you are at this location forget about tech gadgets and enjoy nature. Those who wish to visit famous Idukki dam or do boating it’s just 28 km away from this property. So I suggest stay here, relax with fresh air and good food. Kananam retreat name is perfect match for the property.

A "no nonsense" property in the midst of luscious greenery in Kulamavu Landscaped well, made by table topping of a hill Staff are very helpful, headed by eversmiling Jacob, the head ***. F&B - certainly s value for money, Ideal for a week end getaway. (This is not a staycation property, settle down by evening after days sighseeing)

One of the finest property on a serene hilltop. People who relatively want a stress free environment, then this is a place to visit. Beautiful location. View of Sunset is amazing from this property. My family really enjoyed the stay. Food served is also authentic, home feel. Loved it the maximum. Foggy in the morning & night, Amazing for photography. Great experience overall. What a surprise after noisy, congested Wagamon to arrive in this serene paradise high above the clouds. Spacious, clean 3 room bungalows amidst flowers await the guests. Staff is very helpful and friendly, food is excellent. 360 degree panoramic viewof thr Nilgiri hills from Wagamon to Cochin. Very peaceful, quiet and relaxing!
