コルティホ ラ アサ(Cortijo la Haza)

We stayed overnight at Cortijo La Haza on the 23rd February 2024. Our experience from start to finish was excellent. We couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. The food was excellent, as was our room. I would highly recommend staying there and will definitely be back. Thank you to Bernadette and Patriek for giving us such a lovely experience.

We spent 7 days at Cortijo La Haza in early August and found the place to be the perfect antidote to our busy London based existence. Bernadette and Patriek have created an oasis of calm overlooking the olive groves with the most amazing infinity pool to dip into when it get too hot. Nothing was too much trouble and Patriek was even able to deal with my aversion to seafood with his accomplished menu's. There's lots to do and see in the local area and Bernadette has wealth of knowledge to share. We are looking forward to returning in the very near future.

La Haza is just stunning! The campo location is fabulous and if you are looking for peace and tranquillity this is your place. We loved our three night stay. La Haza has many different areas to sit and enjoy being there and plenty of shade if you need it. The pool is beautiful and the view while you are swimming is fabulous. The rooms are rustic in style and very comfortable, with everything you need. Bernadette was very friendly and helpful. Patriek looks to be a fabulous cook and if you are a foodie you would be sure to enjoy the meals. My husband loved the one we had. Unfortunately for me, I'm not a foodie and the meal just wasn't for me. I found the lack of choice difficult but this was fully explained on the website so I knew I would possibly be served something I wasn't keen on. Unfortunately the next night when I think I would have liked the meal we were on a boat trip and wouldn't have arrived back in time. Throughout our stay we just wanted to book again for the following year and I would really love to go back. Unfortunately ageing hips and knees made the sunbeds difficult to get up off as they were quite low. Sadly, I'm not sure we would manage at another year older.

La Haza is a small, cozy, familiar cortijo. It's plenty of tiny quiet corners, and everything is covered with full, fine, details. The host family is very kind and takes care of everything with loving dedication. There is the possibility of having the dinner in the same cortijo's patio, cooked also by the owners as delicatessen. The rooms are ample, cozy and absolutely clean. It's perfect place for a weekend for small groups. All the staff were very kind and loveable, including the cats! They speak english, spanish and dutch at least.

If you want an example of how perfect this delightful cortijo is then all we can say is we now hold the record for the shortest gap between stays! Originally we had booked for just four nights as we believed there wasn't sufficient availability for our full holiday (we'll let Patriek explain that to you!). In the end, so enraptured by our initial stay, we cancelled our next cortijo and booked in for longer here! The hosts Bernadette and Patriek are exceptionally good hosts, they are friendly, welcoming, and very helpful in terms of where to go and where to eat/drink in Iznájar and the surrounding area. The gardens are superbly maintained, the infinity pool clean and spacious, and the food.... well it was absolutely wonderful! The rooms are cleaned daily, they are air conditioned for those afternoons when it is just too hot, and the layouts (we had more than one room!) are great! A big plus for us was being able to sit outside after sunset with a bottle of wine and see just how many stars are up in the sky when the light pollution is minimal. This really is a beautiful place to stay, something we could only have dreamed of finding, and we will absolutely be back next year!

Bernadette and Patriek have created a fabulous oasis. The rooms, pool and surroundings are all fantastic and you absolutely have to eat here - Patriek’s food is amazing. We arrived as guests and left as friends - very relaxed friends. Thank you!

If you are looking for a complete getaway from all the stresses and strains of today's crazy world....you need look no further. Cortijo La Haza is a magical place that makes it all happen. Set amongst the rolling olive groves the hotel offers stunning views and total peace and quiet. You can almost hear the olives growing while you lay back and relax with the odd swim here and there. A car is a must to get there and back but whilst you are there, there is really no need to leave, as hosts Bernadette and Patriek provide a home from home experience. The home cooked meals are superb and the wine a delight. If you do want to do some travelling then La Haza if positioned almost equidistant from Malaga and Granada both equally fabulous. Cordoba City is full of Moorish history and compact enough for a day's sightseeing. The nearby town of Iznajar is well worth a visit especially to see the dam that holds back the waters of the largest reservoir in Andalucia.

El lugar es bonito y acogedor. La dueña es muy agradable y simpática. Es muy atenta y hace que te sientas como en casa. Muy recomendable alojarse allí. Como puntos a mejorar, el acceso a las instalaciones. Tuve un problema en el coche por las mismas. Y por otro lado, me preocupó que en zonas comunes cerradas estuviera tanto la dueña como una trabajadora sin mascarilla.
