Beautiful hotel with gorgeous pool!!

We had stayed in this hotel before and played golf during that time . We really enjoyed it and really love it's proximity to Jerez. This time we were SO disappointed ☹️. We were told there were NO facilities other than reception at the hotel. Breakfast, bars etc were in the other hotel next door. OK it was October but the hotel was full. Not a room available. Why it could not be staffed to provide services to guests beats me.... Our golf experience was awful. We booked a tee time arrived 30 mins in advance to be informed we were to play with two strangers. We were told it was impossible to book a tee time for 2 people. Eventually the staff relented and we played as planned. However the course was so busy with groups ahead so slow we had to wait at each tee box with a queue behind us. Everyone had a buggy. We gave up after 9 holes and left the course frustrated. We had booked 6 nights with the intention of playing golf there. In the end we went elsewhere each day. Overall the whole thing was really disappointing. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast excellent. The waiting staff fantastic. Reception was disappointing too.

A very good resort for a golf trip. The hotel was ver y nice and the golf course was challenging and enjoyable to play.

BEWARE: They will charge you extra to use the indoor pool - I believe they wanted €25 each for me and my wife and €12.50 for our son, per hour! What a rip off...I paid well over €700 for a 3 night stay and I am not entitled to use the pool. After this, it didn't really matter that the food and room was quite nice, as a small family we felt we were being ripped off by the pool policy. It needs to be scrapped.

Excellent hotel with great staff. Nice Rooms. Bar and Lounge/Public areas are inviting but not huge. Challenging golf course, with good variety of holes and lovely views. Great venue for the Matchplay golf event.

a spring break at the montecastillo hotel was extremely good. Really enjoyed our visit there and the golf was incredible like the weather. All the staff were friendly and would recommend the hotel to anyone.

I stayed in a golf view room with terrace. The room was cleaned daily and to a high standard. The breakfast buffet had a wonderful selection. The staff were excellent and went out of their way to make sure my holiday was great.

Great golf course, great hotel and rooms, fantastic food in snack bar and restaurant. Staff were excellent especially Nick in the bar. Very clean hotel. Only 15 mins drive from Jerez. Would definitely go here again!

Great place to stay at for golf and accommodation. Great food even the buffet dinner with different themes every evening. Breakfast is wonderful and the accommodation itself is great. The course is walkable but a buggy is to recommend as walking distance between some holes is rather far. There is a race track close to the course so if being sensitive you might experience the sound from the track being just a little disturbing from time to time. The buggy hire of 42€ is somewhat high according to me. However the greenfee is more moderate (we had a greenfee package so I don't know the rate for a single round but I believe it is around 68-70€).
