On August 13th I came to the hotel Deniz Feneri Lighthouse, to which I made a reservation several month ago. But when I arrived I was told that hotel is overbooked and my room was given to someone else. And I was offered different room, in nearby hotel instead, but was assured its going to be similar to the room I booked in the first place. I was told that this new hotel “Renaissance Blue” is also belongs to them. It was 5 min away with their golf cart. When my family and I arrived to this new property, we found out that offered room didn’t have an ocean view, for which we paid in the first place. When we complained about it, we were promised our initial room/villa in 4days only, since it was already occupied by someone else. So we agreed. After 4 days we were we brought back to “Light House”. Guess what?! We saw around 8 to 10 other families complaining about EXACTLY the same thing!!! OVERBOOKED! And management offering people their “new hotel” which is up the hill with NO OCEAN VIEW or OCEAN ACCESS. Surprise surprise! Yet again we were placed in different room. Not the one we paid for in first place. 1. NO HOT WATER. 2. TV DIDN’T work . (When I called lobby, they sent someone, after 3 hours. Their specialist came checked cables and said that he can’t do anything about it right now, and that we have to wait) 3. Walls in living room had MOLD!!!! (See attached pictures) 4. Some light fixtures didn’t work. 5. Furniture is discussing, sofa and chairs had stains all over it. 6. Room had a tiny baby pool. We reserved a normal size pool (extra $) 7. They refuse to take Amex. That is only payment method I had. I offered them to pay online thought ********** or *******.com but was told thats impossible. 8. The bill we were presented didn’t reflect any discount for the inconvenience and lack of ocean view. 9. When I offered to make a new reservation to a different hotel since managment weren’t helpful we were told thats not possible since we made a reservation through ********** PICTURES that they have online for “LightHouse” or in Turkish “Deniz Feneri” have NOTHING TO DO WITH REALITY. Property is old and in a very bad shape. Im gonna attach pictures, decide for yourself. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY and don’t let them ruin your vacation like they did ours.

Yes, the Mediterranean --- just a ten-minute walk from Fidanka Hotel --- is as richly azure in reality as it appears in visitors' smartphone viewfinders. Yes, the locals are invariably models of Turkish warmth and hospitality. Yes, the outdoor temperatures in November will more than often not exceed those in a normal British summer.
