シャトー カンモア(Chateau Canmore)

Definitely very happy with our stay. Close to bus station to go to Banff. And 10-15min walk to Canmore downtown. There’s definitely closer locations but for the amount that we paid, we’re very happy with the stay. The comforters are super warm and comfy. But I must say the bathroom flushes are quite weak lol. Another thing is the key card that tend to deactivate on their own (it happened twice), which created an inconvenience to come down to get them to reactivate it. And when I brought it up to the front desk they basically blamed me for putting the card close to my phone which will demagnetize it, instead of educating and apologizing. But otherwise good stay!

I wouldn't want to stay in this hotel in the summer. The ac was on the coldest setting out entire stay and it was baking in our room (during January). One tiny hot tub for the entire hotel was packed every time we checked. They offered one 10% coupon for breakfast for a two day stay. Definitely underwhelmed for the price.

3night stay Checked-in after 5:30-6pm with a little condescending remarks from a late nite man at front desk .. everyone has a bad day I suppose..Our he checked us in was ok abit dinghy but here to ski ..1 thing tho there our room sealing had a patch job on the roof but didn’t worry as it LOOKed fix and patched .. first night was hot but ok.. next day we skied came home to relax and eat but notice a drip from The roof , called front desk with the same man as the night before , Told him the issue he said what can he do ?! And talk to management in the morning it not up to him ?’!? Up to him about what ?! he would then back peddle and said he have someone come up.. 25min later a polite maintaince man came and helped out .. he brought a bucket to stop it and said the guess who’s bed this is dripping in can have a room for the inconvenience.. which was solid .. Now with in the hr of polite maintenance man leaving , the drip turn into 4-6 spots dripping and the most FOUL sewage smell took over our room!!! We called and the polite maintaince man said he would give all of us left another room for inconvenience again.. Service was 5/10 and all 5stars goes to the one that helped , the polite maintaince man

Overall a good hotel, nice size room, friendly staff and a great restaurant for breakfast. The pool and hot tub were decent but a bit small and the fitness room is excellent, one of the best hotel fitness rooms I’ve seen in a while.

Our stay at the Chateau Canmore over the Christmas break was generally very pleasant. The executive suite was spacious with a comfortable bed. The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to the downtown area. The only complaint I have is that the hotel was extremely hot and there was no way to fix the temperature in our room; the AC was barely working (who has to use AC in winter??). The other issue would be the parking lot: the lines for the parking stalls are painted way too close to each other. Vehicles were parked so close to each other that you could barely open your door to get into your vehicle. The restaurant on site, Chez Francois, is a great place for brunch. Highly recommend the lamb sausages!

Hotel and room were adequate. Lots of space in room. The pool and hot tub would have been nice to use if not for the group of 20 people who refused to get out for others to enjoy for several hours. Lots of disappointment for kids and other families.

We loved the unique rooms. It was comfortable and welcoming. The staff was caring and helpful.

The train behind the location made it impossible to sleep. So we move to the front side of the property and still had a Terrible sleep right before a very important doctors app the next day.
