Country Inn

The hotel is situated in a quiet area, with a great view from the hill to the tourquise water and a nice vegetation in the yard. I think acommodation here it's suitable mostly for couples. We came with 2 kids (5y and 1y) and first of all we were stressed because there was no protection on the cliff, even if at the 2 hotels neighbour you could see that there was a railing on the edge. The breakfast was very poor and the food was old! Omlette not fresh from that morning, cereals had a strange taste, the cheese the same. You couldn't choose so much from what was there. The rooms could have a mosquito net, because there are many during the night in that area. You can't sleep with the AC turned on. The cleaning in the room was ok, changed sheets and towels every day. The lasy from the reception was very kind and helpful.

Well I was in two minds to write this review as I did not want to advertise this wonderful, little hidden gem, incase we can not get booked up again due to lack of availability😂This is our second trip and can honestly say it just keeps getting better. So peaceful and quiet with stunning coastal views, a spotlessly clean hotel with the most amazing staff!! The food- breakfast is continental all produce very fresh, the meals in the hotel are amazing and Eleni and Nikos are fab chefs!! Christina helped us book a car for two days which was also fab, she advised us of places to visit, we got to see the full peninsula with some lovely little areas. Sani resort was nice but not as nice as the quaint town of Afytos. But it all depends on what you like. On arrival I felt disappointed as we had requested a pool view however to our delight and amazement we were offered room 207 that had just been renovated, George the owner had done an amazing job !! In all honesty this hotel should be a minimum of 4 stars !!!. We will be booking again and this time returning with our families so they can enjoy the experience that we have absolutely loved!!

What a perfect place, to stay if you want peace & relaxation it's the ideal spot had such a good time at Country Inn. Absolutely fantastic team, all of them. George, Eleni, Christina, Nikos & ludmilla who cleaned our room and changed the towels and the sheets every day .Quiet poolside, plenty of sunbeds gorgeous sea view, beautiful sunsets. We had drinks at the bar and great food in the restaurant too, always with a warm welcome. Ideal location between Kalithea, walkable and Afitos a five minute 6 euro taxi ride away. Highly recommended. We hope to return xx

The Country Inn Hotel in Kalithea is set in very pretty, well kept gardens and with a clean, freshwater swimming pool surrounded by plenty of sunbeds and chairs to accommodate guests in the seventeen rooms. Views from the balconies are of the garden, pool and sea through a woodland area.The towels are changed daily as are beds made, floors and bathrooms cleaned. Whilst the breakfasts are not inspiring the hostess is friendly and accommodating. Access to Kalithea bars, restaurants and shops is a fifteen minute walk. The local beach is accessed via several options; a steep stepped pathway from the site (not owned by the hotel so at your own risk) and not for the faint hearted or those who aren't so steady on their feet; or different points from the town - steep steps with no handrail; a steep winding path; a longer, winding less steep path. Sunbeds on the soft sandy beach are free in front of the bar but paid for by way of buying overpriced drinks - otherwise ten euros for two with a parasol. Six euros gets you a taxi to Afitos town (your hosts will call for you) and you are dropped by the taxi rank where you can get return taxis. There are plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from. Eight euros will get you to Afitos beach where again sunbeds are free as long as you buy drinks from the bar. If you have delicate feet you may need water shoes as the entry to the sea is gritty or stony, even rocky in some areas. That said both at Afitos and at Kalithea the sea is crystal clear and clean. Now to the down points: although it has been illegal to smoke in enclosed areas in Greece since November 2019 it seems to be ignored at the Country Inn Hotel. Ash trays are on the tables during the night when the dining room becomes a restaurant clearly inviting smokers to light up.This makes eating or drinking here very unpleasant and uncomfortable as well as toxic. Staff and guests smoke with no consideration for other diners' health or ability to enjoy a meal. Balconies are not separated by walls so again smokers' toxic fumes pervades neighbouring balconies and enter bedrooms. Smoke has had a detrimental affect to my comfort and enjoyment of areas which should be smoke free. Sorry to say I won't be returning to an otherwise charming location.

Stayed here again in September 2023 - our 20th visit. Exceptional once again. Enjoyed my 50th birthday here, and there was no finer place to do so. Food, drink, service second to none. Beautifully maintained rooms, and areas. Spotless throughout. We cannot thank all of the staff enough! George, Nikos aka Babbokas, Eleni, Christina, Ludmilla, you are ALL absolute legends, and are worth your weight in diamonds. Booked up again for next year, July and September. Have a good winter all. From checking in to leaving i can find nothing wrong with this hotel. The staff from the owners to the cleaner are all amazing. So friendly and helpfull. The rooms thanks to the ever hard working Ludmilla are spotless. The staff, Nikos and Elani are firendly and helpfull, nothing is too much for them. The owners George and Kristina are the same. We will be going back next year.

This Beautiful 18 bedroom hotel sits on a *****ula overlooking Sithonia. The pool area is a decent size & has plenty of sunbeds for all guests. The restaurant area serves buffet style breakfast with a good selection of hot/ cold options & a superb tea/coffee machine. It also serves snacks & meals throughout the day which are all reasonably priced. Rooms are cleaned everyday to a very high standard. Kalithea is a 10 min walk to the left & Afitos (stunning fishing village) is a 25 min walk to the right (6 Euro in a taxi). There are a wide variety of lovely restaurants to suit all budgets & tastes. A big thank you to George and his amazing staff Eleni, Christina, Nikos & Ludmilla who make our holiday so special xxxxx

What an amazing place this is. We arrived in the very early hours of the morning and Eleni had left a note for us to advise our rooms and when breakfast was. We've had a lovely time here, Eleni, Nikos, George and Christina are all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Food was very tasty and the cocktails were amazing ! Would definitely recommend staying here if you want peace and quiet and a very relaxing holiday. Would definitely go back again. Xx

This hotel is fantastic. This was our 3rd visit and again it never disappoints. It’s The rooms are cleaned daily with fresh bedding, towels and have air con, fridge, kettle, flat screen tv and shower with balconies overlooking the sea or pool. The pool area is very quiet and very chilled with plenty of sunbeds which are surrounded by beautiful flowers and olive/pine trees. The staff are brilliant and very friendly, and nothing is too much trouble for them to make your holiday special. The food is fantastic especially the breakfast as there is so much choice and there is also a nice bar area. If you want to venture out you can visit Kathalia which has restaurants, Bars and shops or you can visit Afytos which has traditional Greek restaurants, bars, and shops you can either get a taxi for 6euros or take a 20 min walk. All in all, a brilliant hotel with fantastic staff which always make you feel welcome.
