Stayed in the self-catering houses. Everything you could possibly need is provided. Located on the golf course, but also on the walking trail that leads straight into Killarney. We never needed to drive into town as we made use of the beautiful walk into town (it’s about a 1.5km trail). In addition, we saw deer in the trail and on the property— bonus! Four stars because the carpets really could use a shampoo… Otherwise the house was dated but clean.
We stayed in this hotel in August 2024. Two of the best things about it: the view---amazing! Mountains and hills, and the surrounding landscape is beautiful. The other thing is the attached restaurant---we had dinner one night and it was great. The included breakfast was also amazing---made to order! Now the not so great....not bad, but we felt a little cheated. The room advertised a KING bed. We found out this is a UK-King, not a normal US-King bed. It was the same size as a US-Queen bed. Not a big deal, but they should mention that in the listing. The next thing: There is no AC in any of the rooms. Again, no mention of this in their listing. Not that much of a problem, because it was cool (mid 60's) during our stay, but in order to get the room cooled down, we had to leave the balcony door open, and there was no screen at all. Luckily, we had no birds, or bugs or who knows what in our room when we returned from our outings for the day. Also, on one of the days, it was raining, so the door couldn't stay open---it rained in the room if you did. Not ideal. We are a couple who likes to sleep in a very cold room---we always turn our hotel rooms down to 68 degrees or less when we sleep. Not sure we ever got below 70 in this room. Next....there is no mini-fridge in the room, and no icemaker in the hotel. We had to ask the front desk for any ice bucket, and they had it delivered from the restaurant to our room, but again, not ideal. Lastly, the room is very, very small---only 2 feet between the bed and the wall, so if you plan on spending any time in the room other than sleeping, it's very crowded. PS---this is a very old hotel---needs some updating. The carpet in our room looked new, so that was nice, but the walk to our room has some very old carpet, walls that need painted, and furniture that looks like it's from the 70's or 80's---and VERY well used. For a short stay (a day or two) it's fine, but any longer---stay at a more modern, updated hotel.
Stayed on 3 nights b&b package with 2 evening meals. Hotel contacted us in advance to book times in restaurant for breakfasts and dinner. We booked breakfast for 10am each morning and dinners at 7.30pm. While breakfast times were adhered to by hotel, fried food, except eggs, was dried up and cold. We did not get to eat in restaurant for dinners. Could only get table in bar both nights. Menu was the exact same each night. My wife is a vegetarian with allergies to onions an red peppers. Very poor vegetarian options. We asked even if chef could do vegetarian stir fry with root vegetables that would suit and were available as they were on meat menus, it was very disappointing that such a simple request couldn't be facilitated. The hotel is very nice but the food standard and menus are very poor given that we paid close on €700 for the 3 night stay as well as spending close on an additional €150 for beverages and sea **** bath. Very disappointed overall
This hotel is the gem of Kerry and should be in the top five best hotels in Ireland. I've stayed in many five star hotels and this hotel is by far the best all round hotel I've ever stayed in. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly and informative. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Also the surrounding views around the hotel are beautiful. If you want an amazing form of relaxation this hotel is the one you should pick. 10 out of 10

Salmon Leap Farm has perfected the delicate balance of quaint Irish aesthetic with modern convenience. The B&B sits just outside of Killarney National Park and is itself an idyllic scene of Irish beauty. The landscaping includes climbing roses and hydrangeas, with an arched walkway that crosses a small water feature. Neighboring cows are quiet and add to the charm. Inside the house you'll find a sitting area and a rustic breakfast room, complete with Waterford Crystal and a welcoming inscription in Garlic above the fireplace. Sean, the owner, was most helpful in providing tips for Killarney National Park, and he made a delicious breakfast in the morning. The location provides fast wifi and our ensuite was modern with complimentary organic soaps.
ゲゲストPROS: Exceptionally clean. Everything seemed relatively new. Beautifully quiet. Nice warm room. Bedding, décor, and furnishings were all quite nice and well selected. CONS: No lounge or living room type common area for guests to sit comfortably with only one basic office chair provided in the room. Quite simply, it was too sp****ly furnished and appointed. Wi-fi was very sketchy (despite numerous reboots) and even stopped working completely for quite some time. The owner since claimed to have “super fast Wi-Fi” and that we should have addressed Wi-fi issues on-site, but we had no idea how to find the proprietor once he handed us the room keys and then basically disappeared for the duration of our stay (behind one of the closed doors on the property?). In short, we could not address the Wi-fi issues as he suggested. There were no TV’s in the entire property, which the owner stated was done on purpose to provide a “quiet and peaceful experience”. That seems nice enough, but without reliable working Wi-fi, the property became an isolated entrapment while we stared at the walls for several hours. A tomb is a “quiet and peaceful experience”, but that doesn’t necessarily make it pleasant. By normal Irish standards for hotels, 4:30 pm check-in and 10:30 am check-out times were quite late and early respectively, which is not common for Ireland as the owner subsequently claimed. We stayed in more than 30 hotels in Ireland and not one of them provided so little overall time. The typical turnaround from check-in to check-out (in all of 2100 miles we traveled around Ireland) was about an hour longer, one way or another. Responding to this, the owner quite rudely wrote (his quote) that we “would need to familiarise yourself with the basics before travelling somewhere”. To that, I can only say we are traveling 110 days this year in 16 different countries and have traveled to about 40 countries before. We plan our journeys exhaustively. I suggest rather than provide insulting remarks about our travel abilities, which are highly tuned and time-tested, perhaps this property’s management should listen to useful customer input about things which were not customary and inferior to competitors. Breakfast was an additional charge which rather goes against the ENTIRE notion of calling oneself a B&B. In retrospect, on closer examination, I concede the advertised rates for the property apparently included a non-breakfast option, but it’s important to note that is not always completely obvious when viewing typical hotel booking sites. Addressing this, the owner wrote that “it looks like you had no idea what you were booking and were not looking at the location or anything at that time”. Overlooking the blatant rudeness of that comment, our situation was actually quite the contrary, and we were keenly familiar with the location, having already spent a total of 25 days traversing the entire west coast of Ireland throughout both rural and urban areas before
My friend and I stayed there for 3 days as our beginning point to visit Kerry and Dingle area. Although old, it has everything you need, rooms are not very spacious, but the bathroom is modern and with all the facilities. Situated by the harbour, you are close to the nice walking by the sea. We’ve also had dinner there, and it was very good! The breakfast is including, you get large irish one, all kind of cereals. The only minus was for the not so nice salami and cheese you can get if you don’t fancy irish breakfast. Would come again!
Thérèse & Maurice were great hosts. Superb location right on the quay with free public parking in the front. The pubs and restaurants just a few steps away. While the house is a historical building from 1850s - former horse stables - the room was clean and comfortable and breakfast freshly cooked and delicious with many options other than the traditional Irish breakfast:)
This B&B is in the heart of Dingle. You come out of the front straight onto the seafront, and it has gorgeous views. We had a family room for 5 people - one of the reasons we chose it - and it was a good sized room. The staff were really friendly, and the rooms were very clean. A highlight was the breakfast! Full Irish (buffet) with continental (also buffet) plus cold meats/ cheese and smoked salmon. Yoghurt with a range of seeds, muesli and cereals, fresh fruit. And the option of fresh cooked porridge or waffles. All absolutely delicious! We all had a great stay - thank you!
We stayed this past weekend for a hen party and the whole experience was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. We were a group of 37 so alot of people to accommodate. Maura and team in the booking office were so helpful and accommodating in organising our group into the dorm and also double and triple rooms, and were on hand to adjust numbers as we went along, and answer any queries we had with such wonderful attitudes. We did activities in the bar which was beautifully decorated, and had custom cocktail menus for our group - thanks to Sean who was our barman and sorted all those details with us in advance. There is a lovely night porter if you fancy a nightcap which we did (sorry we didn't catch your name). Breakfast was delicious, well recieved by the whole group - nothing like a full Irish after a busy day and night. I would 100% recommend it for any group, the whole process was so easy. I would also recommend to anyone wanting to visit Dingle - the rooms are clean and modern, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the location is great.
