水の家と砂の家は雰囲気が違いますが、この島の周りの海は水中の景色があまり良くありません。水の家に泊まるときに一番欲しいのは、ドアを開けて中に飛び込むことです。シュノーケリング用の海ですが、この島は前回泊まった島とは違います。島に比べてシュノーケリングの景色は本当に悪いです。シュノーケリングが好きな友人はこのホテルをお勧めしません。

We stayed at three other 5 star hotels in Maldives the last few years but kihavah was clearly a cut above the rest. The beaches were always clean and the pool was the biggest ive ever seen in Maldives. You can snorkel right off their resort and see colourful corals and fishes. The underwater restaurant is a must try and worth the cost.

We are very grateful to have chosen this resort for our anniversary and babymoon. Our resort host, Ariene, had well reserved the dining restaurants and activities for us everyday. Each meals in different restaurants were remarkably delicious. It was also a memorable experience to have lunch in "the SEA" underwater surrounding by reef fishes. The house reef was extraordinary and breathtaking. We saw a large variety of reef fishes and a few sea turtles when snorkeling. There're even stingray and reef shark swimming around our villa. We had a great time here!

We have just returned from a truly stunning holiday at Anantara Kihavah and are desperately trying to dream up ways to return as quickly as possible. It is without doubt the best holiday we have enjoyed as a family of four (2 adults and 2 children). We had been looking forward to this holiday for well over a year and it came with huge expectations, which all too often end up unfulfilled, but I can happily say that all those expectations were exceeded. The island is exactly what we were looking for - very natural, authentic, relaxed, as private as you would wish, with exemplary service. We loved being able to cycle amongst the palm trees and did this often, even when we didn't really have anywhere to go. We split our holiday between a beach villa and a water villa and really enjoyed both. The beach villas are incredibly private and the pools are large. The beach was invariable empty and although the resort was full when we stayed it never felt that way - we almost always were able to book dining or other experiences on our own terms. We did sunset fishing, turtle snorkelling, dolphin watching, diving, lunch at Sea and many many hours of snorkelling around the island and we loved all of them. The experience at Sea (the underwater restaurant) was magical and the children spend most of the meal in awe. We tried all the restaurants and the food was really top notch - while not included in the half board we particularly enjoyed the food at Fire the Japanese restaurant. We found the half board options were on the whole very varied - there were relatively few supplements and plenty to choose from without paying extra. Children under 12 have complimentary meals including lunch which was a welcome surprise. One of the main criteria we used when choosing an island was the availability of a house reef and we were not disappointed. We saw every type of fish imaginable and were lucky enough to snorkel with sharks, turtles and stingrays all on the house reef which was very easily accessible from the beach outside the dive centre. My wife and I both used the gym which is open 24 hours a day and has all the equipment you would need with the exception of a rowing machine. The children spent most days with us, but did use kids clubs a few times and the staff there were amazing. I cannot fail to mention the villa host concept - this is such a great aspect to the stay. We were allocated a villa host (Sittu) who met us in the speedboat from the seaplane and was by our side (when needed) for the rest of the holiday. He made an effort to regularly check in (how he always seemed to find us I'll never know) whether we had asked him for something or not and was always ready with a buggy if we decided not to cycle or if there was a heavy downpour. If it did rain he would make sure the bikes were back outside the villa when we needed them. This was our first visit to the Maldives, and Kihavah, and it certainly won't be the last! we have never been anywhere with such an amazing mix of quality, laid back atmosphere, attentive service without being in your face. It was so relaxing from the moment we arrived, hardly wearing footwear for the whole trip, yet eating phenomenal food, with excellent service. The team really do make the experience what it is. Everyone is lovely and friendly, but very good at what they do also. We had the time of our lives, thank you Maurice and the team for making this such a special place.

We’ve been to the Maldives a few times. What stands out at Anantara Kihavah for me is the absolutely amazing house reef, easily accessible from our beach villa, and the food, particularly at Spice, and at the incredible underwater restaurant, Sea. My husband and kids enjoyed the boxing training, whilst I steered well clear of the gym and enjoyed snorkeling in peace! All of the staff were so friendly and helpful, particular thanks to Harnie, our villa host, Sheila, the boxing coach, Executive Chef Joachim who would always stop by for a chat (he has been on some fascinating travels!), the team at the Kids Club and Maria who took both our children out diving, giving them the best time!

I usually dont write reviews (even though I read a lot of them), but I felt like I needed to let one for the amazing experience I had at Kihavah! Its not an easy travel from Brazil, definitely not a cheap one, either, but it worth every effort we put into it and I would definitely go back there a thousand times. Went there with my wife and my almost 3-year-old kid and we loved pretty much everything: the restaurants, the activities, the pool, the breakfast, the underwater restaurant (my kid loved it), the stargazing experience, and all the attention you put to the small details! We literally felt like home there and, with that regard, I must thank Azmeen big time, for everything he made for us during our stay! Thank you guys so much for the lovely memories you provided for me and my family.
