ザ レジデンス ザンジバル(The Residence Zanzibar)

Je suis une voyageuse solo et je cherchais un hôtel où me reposer après mes folles escales dans tout Zanzibar. Toute l’équipe de l’hôtel a été aux petits soins avec moi. Je n’ai manqué de rien. La chambre était spacieuse et magnifique avec la piscine et le petit jardin. Le domaine est très boisé ce qui fait que vous pouvez croiser des petits animaux sympathiques. Encore merci à toute l’équipe de l’hôtel The Résidence pour tout le soin apporté à mon séjour.

We stayed at The Residence for 6 nights and had a fantastic experience. The food served at the hotel is of top Michelin star quality served by a fantastic team. The facilities were great; on site table tennis, pool, outdoor tennis and indoor gym that was very well equipped. The rooms were very spacious, and the housekeeping staff ensured our stay was very comfortable. We even had our personal pool cleaned several times during our stay. Thank you for making our week away from the hustle and bustle of working life a very relaxing break. We truly feel relaxed now! Team members that really stood our for us: Nitin, Nicho, Jumma, Farida, Raihma and the housekeeping staff who decorated our room on arrival (can't remember their names). For nature lovers, there is an abundance of wildlife in the resort! The monkeys are too cute and will have you entertained for hours!

I was travelling with my 82-year-old mum and the staff were amazing in looking after us. The villas are luxurious, contemporary and spacious. There are lots of friendly monkeys too! The resort has golf carts and bikes so you can find your way around. The food is delicious. Spa treatments great. The hotel is very very quiet so if you're looking for a romantic break it's perfect. But it's a 1.5 hr drive from airport and the hustle and bustle of Zanzibar. Special mentions to Nitin, Johanes, Helen, Nikodemis, Clement, Edson, Josephine (and so many other fantastic staff) for going out of their way to make our stay special.

We had a great time at The Residence Hotel. The view is magnificent, the villas are very spacious and beautiful, and include a private pool, a king size bed and a hottub. The crew is very pleasant, and the food was tasty. For a couple, it was a truly wonderful vacation.

Nice beautiful hotel. Loved the individual pool. The sea is not great but get your sea shoes and no problems. Super nice hotel. The bands were super nice on the nights that they played Shout out to Nitin and the Chef who were extremely happy to help

Amazing hotel! The rooms are beautiful, the view is stunning, the restaurants are great, the buffet is diverse and delicious, and the staff is extremely nice, efficient, and helpful. The hotel also offers a lot of cool activities, such as catamaran or boat trips. Special mention to Lukeman and the yoga sessions he gives. He is a very attentive and kind instructor. I really enjoyed my stay there.

Really lovely beach resort in Zanzibar. Top notch design and facilities, definitely luxury. Beautiful spacious rooms, clean and beautiful design. Small/medium size resort so not overcrowded, it was peaceful. Good options for water sports and activities. Good room amenities MAJOR downside- food. Food was really terrible every day. Breakfast lunch dinner, terrible. Coffee terrible, cocktails terrible. 2/10.

What a gem this hotel is. The staff are adorable - so friendly and willing to help. The restaurant staff were so attentive and helpful. Especially Nitin, Joyce, Jesca and Abdul. The food is fresh and healthy and fruit and vegetables are abundant but in particular the sea food is fantastic. We travel a lot and all over the world and while there may be hotels with bigger wine lists or more facilities, you won’t find a hotel with a bigger heart or staff more genuine and more keen to ensure your holiday is perfect. We almost don’t want to tell people how wonderful this hotel and island are in case it becomes too busy! We want it all to ourselves.
