Great place to stay in Knysna. Relatively new. Burned down in the fire and was rebuilt a few years ago. Grounds are peaceful. Room was comfortable and quiet. Front desk keeps the pool towels. Two Padel Tennis courts on site -- can reserve courts and equipment. Not expensive. Staff were very friendly. We had dinner here one night and it was excellent. Breakfast every morning was buffet and a nice selection. Load shedding affected hot water availability so make sure to check when it is while you are there so you are not showering near the end of the earmarked time! Would stay here again if ever back in the area.

I was on a tour with Locations Africa. This was one of our more wonderful stays while traveling. The bed, bedding, pillows all perfect. I just wanted to luxuriate in my bed but glad I rallied for dinner on site. I'd also like to give a shout out to some of the exemplary staff. Max, who helped me with my bags and gave me a tutorial of all the gadgets in my room. Wonderful. Also, Nkosi, was always there to ensure we had all we needed and all was going smoothly. Thank. you! Petros was another asset to the establishment. And let us not forget the front desk staff: Cheryl and Lethu. So helpful. You've got a great team and it makes the place a wonderful experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at Knysna Hollow. The rooms are beautifully-decorated in a gorgeous contemporary style, and everything is impeccably clean and very comfortable! We had a bit of rain during our time in Knysna but being somewhere so comfortable with easy access to delicious food (the on-site restaurant is really good!) was wonderful and restful! There is no spa on site but there is an amazing therapist, Sheila, who visits and will offer massages and facials in your room - this was absolutely heavenly and I could not recommend more! The location is great, within easy reach of lovely Knysna and also 30-40 minute drive from Plett. We did have a small sunny window where we made use of one of the two onsite pools which are gorgeous and immaculately clean. Most importantly, the whole team was warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay here.

Sorry to have not had more nights here. A lovely, clean, efficient resort with gorgeous ‘spacious’ rooms. The staff were so friendly and helpful. And the breakfast has been our best yet during our fortnight stay here in Cape region. Thank you team. Will definitely tell all about how much we loved your resort.

The Knysna Hollow is an excellent well-thought-out property, from the rooms to the restaurants. The staff are excellent very accommodating. A glass of bubbly upon check in is a nice touch. Large bathroom with a giant shower.

It's hard to express just how impressed we were with this country estate. Two nights of luxurious living felt like 2 weeks away. Claudene went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed for a relaxed and comfortable stay. She is an asset to the establishment. A kingsize bed with soft pillows, and crispy white sheets makes getting out of bed in the morning very difficult. The bathroom has a huge walk in shower, and his & hers basins, sufficient shampoo and body soap for everyone, and a seperate loo for privacy. The breakfast buffet was fresh and beautifully presented. Dinner was excellent. We had tender lamb curry, and a flavorsome seafood curry. Both delicious. The waitrons were professional and friendly. If you want luxury in a beautiful garden setting, with 2 pools and padel courts, look no further. This is the perfect country estate to unwind, and recharge your batteries.

Great Hotel, lovely grounds. Staff all attentive, friendly and helpful. Short taxi ride to central Knysna. Bungalows are very spacious with high ceilings and pool areas very pleasant. Breakfast excellent, would highly recommend this hotel on any South African self drive

The place is beautiful and well cared for. The rooms were large, elegant and very comfortable. Had a massage in my room and it was fantastic. The food in their lovely airy dining room was delicious. I highly recommend this place as a peaceful retreat!

We had a fantastic experience and time at Knysna Hollow this past weekend. The staff were super friendly, food was fabulous, room was beautiful, actually everything was just great! Will definitely be back!

In a great local offering peace and quiet. Set in stunning well kept gardens. Got 2 lovely pools. Only suggestion would be drink service and for someone to maintain the areas, clear glasses and towels. Rooms were large with a great bathroom. They were decorated beautifully and well maintained. Cleaners did a great job. Lots of coffee in the room and thick soft towels. The beds were comfy. Breakfast was a buffet which was limited and not always as fresh but they did try hard. Redeption, bar and restaurant staff were lovely. We did find on several occasions someone vaping in the restaurant and the staff ignored it. We didn't want to start an argument with a customer. This needs to be dealt with maybe some signs.

We had a fantastic 3 days with the family. The location is good reaching town in 5min by car. The garden area is great with 2 pools. Food (international menu) is very good. We were unhappy with the service at one dinner and we got the starters for free as compensation. Rooms are modern and have a lot of space.

I recently had the most delightful stay at the estate. The serene and aesthetically pleasing environment made my experience truly exceptional. The place was impeccably clean and the peaceful ambiance added a touch of tranquility to my stay. The exceptional service provided by Thembi and Barthez further elevated my experience there.

Amazing hotel, very modern, spotless and great service! Rooms are generous too. The staff were very well-trained. The breakfast was amazing and very fresh too. The garden is exceptionally well kept and manicured to perfection!

Amazing place! Everything was perfect, begging with the lovely Lethu in reception, always pleasant and ready to help with endless patient. Rooms are fantastic - very clean, well equipped and designed, lovely garden for kids to play and parents to relax. Very good restaurant. It was really hard for us to leave !
