Booked this accommodation because of the good reviews on a couple sites. What a MAJOR disappointment! This place honestly is a mess. Dirty room, unsafe stairs, hard to get to, breakfast centered around yogurt, construction starting at 08:30 in the accommodation. There is no way I would stay again, recommend or even rate above marginal. I have stayed in better hostels. I can not think of a good thing about the place, which is hard for me. Maybe this was a one instance but what a complete let down. Looks run down, staff not friendly and conditions dirty (hair in the bed, cigarette butter on the balcony and balcony in general distress). Pass and stay elsewhere. Sorry. To the owners, you need to clean up the place. It looks disheveled and think others are being kind or you have just let the place go into disarray.

Rating is based on the homely experience we had, Loved our stay here. Very nicely decorated common area and courtyard, felt very cozy. Room had everything we needed, it was clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Shower gel/soap, shampoo would be nice to have in the shower. Breakfast was included - bread, paratha, jam, honey, peanut butter, dates, cereals, eggs, juice, tea/coffee etc. we also had dinner twice, very delicious home made meals and served plenty of food - appetizers, main dish, desserts etc. Hosts, Staffs are very friendly and nice, staffs do not speak English but they understand body language, had no problems in communication. Service is slow and not attentive sometimes, forgot to serve paratha & juice one day at breakfast and fruits after dinner, it was not a big deal for us, plenty of food and we were full. Enjoyed the company of their friendly pet Willie & Kiera. I recommend this hotel and would love to come back. Thanks for making our stay comfortable and enjoyable!

Excellent atmosphere, food, and staff.

Wat een prachtig onderkomen in de wijk la Marsa.Reizend met een vriendin voelden we ons meteen welkom.Werkelijk prachtige kamer, heerlijke douche. De prachtige binnentuin is een plek waar je lekker tot rust kan komen en personeel wil je het graag naar de zin maken..ze staan klaar met goede raad.Zo zijn we naar de plaatselijke Hammam geweest. Echt een prachtige plek

Superbe riadh , Un très bon accueil , même de Willy ( le chien :)). Une bâtisse splendide avec des meubles des architectures fabuleuses .. Une petite cour intérieure avec une splendide piscine . Des chambres magnifiques .. Nous sommes plongés dans la vraie tunisie tout ce que j aime … Ça change de ces grands resorts qui vous enlèvent l âme tunisienne . Allez y les yeux fermés ..

Nous sommes venues fin juillet 2021, pour une journée et une nuit, et notre séjour a été absolument parfait ! Nous avons été très bien accueillies par Souad et sa fille Feriel, nous avons été gâtées pour le repas du soir avec plus que ce que nous avions demandé, et un petit déjeuner prévu pour nous alors que nous partions avant l'heure d'ouverture de la cuisine, vraiment très gentil ! Le cadre est magique, la végétation crée un micro-climat vraiment agréable dans la cour intérieure (alors qu'il faisait 42°C à l'extérieur). La piscine rafraîchissante était vraiment très agréable ! La chambre était très bien décorée, toutes les commodités étaient presentes, il ne manquait rien. Un tout petit séjour vraiment parfait, nous ne manquerons pas de revenir dès que l'occasion se présentera, encore merci !

Hébergement à recommander, pour l'accueil chaleureux, les chambres grandes et confortables. Petits déjeuners et repas délicieux servis dans un cadre enchanteur autour de la piscine. Si nous avons l'occasion de revenir à Tunis nous retournerons à Dar Souad
