オーキッドハウスバハ＆ビーチクラブ(Orchid House Baja)

This was one of the best vacation experiences for our family. We traveled with our 6 year old and another family who had a 10 year old. The hotel is very quiet but welcoming of kids. The staff was friendly and accommodating, a special thank you to Megan, Oscar, Alfredo at the bar and Alfredo at the front desk - they provided wonderful service and work so hard. The hotel’s restaurant food was exceptional - everything we tried was amazing. Loved the beach club and the easy beach access. We enjoyed both the pool and beach everyday. Already planning our next trip back.

Very nice place! The service could improve. The location is amazing. Very interesting house. The access to the beach is great. Very good option in La Paz Many excellent spots. We believe that the service and the menu options could be better.

We couldn’t fault our 4 night stay in La Paz. The property and its location are great for a 10 ish bedroom hotel (I maybe a coupe of bedrooms out). I personally think it’s the best situated hotel with private beach club in La Paz. About 10 minutes drive to downtown La Paz but Ubers are only $ 100 pesos. What grabs you when you first arrive is the number of staff, all helpful and smiling and trying to make your day run as smoothly as possible. We ate lunches and the included breakfasts here most days and loved it all. Especially the house burger and the fish wonton tacos at the beach club. A very special mention must go to Melissa (our first day at Orchid House was also her first day in her new job). You would never have known she was new, she looked after us so well at the beach club. Also Etrin (I don’t think that’s how it’s spelt…sorry) who was always busy at the beach making sure everyone was ok. The rooms are big, very clean and have absolutely everything you need. I seriously can’t think of a negative thing to say. We will deffo stay again on our next visit to La Paz.

Everything about the place is fantastic. The only thing that needs improving is the beds. They are too soft and the pillows are also too soft. Everything else was wonderful. Should probably add upgrades to the beach bar, it looks shabby and the music is toooooo loud. Food was good, drinks were good, views were lovely and the pool was nice. Liked the pool table inside too.

A hidden gem in the heart of paradise! From the stunning location boasting privacy, security, amazing character & unique history, my husband & I enjoyed 4 nights of our honeymoon at The Orchid House. From the charm of the Dragon Suite alone I could write a novel, but adding the impeccable staff, service, grounds & ambiance, it’s hard to put my love of this property into one review. From the moment we arrived, the personalized service from everyone was a gift in itself. Alfredo took extra special care of us, including excellent communication during the entirety of our stay. Transportation was easy and being close to town was a plus! From the various sitting areas inside & out to the delicious cocktails & appetizers, we’ll be returning to this exact spot for future adventures in La Paz!

A stunning location overlooking the Sea of Cortez. The boutique 5* hotel is an old state government building with lots of history. There was a lovely little private beach which was a bonus. We had a suite which sounds fancy but wasn’t - it had a nice balcony overlooking the Bay, king bed, ensuite shower room with lovely toiletries and lots of towels. The downside was that the service level which you would expect of a 5* hotel was very hit and miss. The staff were a mixture of very helpful and proactive (Alfredo, Jesus and Mario) to downright rude and dismissive. It was rare that anyone would approach you to take drinks orders for example. Few staff acknowledged we were even there. Continental breakfast was included and was a total disappointment. Small bowl of fruit, a small muffin and o e piece of bread between two. The bizarre thing was you could choose coffee/tea or juice, but not both. There should be a fresh buffet breakfast available if it is included. Just not 5* level. If they could sort out the service, this place would be amazing. The quality of food in the restaurant was very good, if pricey.

The hotel was nice and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the Melon and downtown district, but it was only about a 5 minute drive from the action. Alfredo made our stay very comfortable. He gave lots of solid recommendations and he was extremely friendly and accommodating.

Orchid House is our absolute favorite place to stay. It is so relaxing, lovely, and low key. The food is incredible and the staff is always wanting and willing to help with whatever you need. Plus it has the most breathtaking sunsets we have ever seen! Cannot recommend this gem of a hotel enough.

Beautiful location and overall property. Very friendly and helpful staff. A few issues with booking outside travel and rides. Shower head and bathroom electrical outlets were an issue but overall a beautiful stay.
