TH ラ トゥイール - プラニベル ホテル(TH la Thuile - Planibel Hotel)

Excellent hotel, accommodation, food, service and location. The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. Best ski holiday hotel where the staff are welcoming, hardworking and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend.

This hotel has had an upgrade: the rooms are modern and stylish with new bathrooms since my last visit. The location is excellent, right by the slopes and main cable car. The hotel is clean and functional. Dining is a collective affair and ruthlessly efficient. It is all buffet style and you even have to collect salt and pepper. Many staff are there to feed you and others to take empty plates away the moment you rest your fork and knife. I’d advise buying drinks in the bar to take in as ordering a drink or finding someone to give you a wine list is difficult as there are no floating staff - they all rush around clearing tables and bringing out food, which is plentiful. The bar is bland, soulless and like a community centre with a large TV blaring out senseless game shows at all hours. I ended up walking down to the Miramonte hotel which has a lovely bar if you want a nice drink in a pleasant environment. There is nowhere to sit quietly in the hotel. You can’t charge drinks or any extras to the room. As in previous reviews the lifts are temperamental and inadequate. This is a perfect place to eat, ski and sleep but feels like an institution rather than a hotel.

Good size appar**ent with seperate bathrooms. Practically ski in ski out with proximity to slopes and buses. Ski locker provided. No cleaning products provided. Lock was broken on the door but was fixed quickly. Lovely old town with variety of restaurants and bars.

Beautifully laid our small apar**ents with wonderful view of slopes. Clean and warm with ensuite and another bathroom which was perfect for the 2 of us. The kitchen was well laid out and the small moka pot was perfect for a great instant coffee.

Excellent location right across the road from the ski lifts, fabulous facilities, exemplary staff, amazing breakfast and dinner experiences, comfortable rooms, lovely waterfall showers... BUT the lifts are slow and old so aren't smart (no indicator showing where they are) and there aren't nearly enough for the number of guests staying, and only 3 of the 4 were operational during our stay. Also, the ski locker room is served by an even worse lift; the lockers themselves are old and rusty, and there isn't nearly enough seating available for putting on your ski boots of a morning! Some rooms are really noisy due to proximity to the bar next door and the plaza outside. Lastly, the pillows could do with renewing, and we had to ask for extra since there were only 3 in the room between 2 people.

Spacious rooms with super comfy beds and peaceful. Good selection of food in the restaurant, plentiful and well managed. Wine and beer only at dinner and not included in cost. If travelling by large coach be aware that ours did not reverse up the very steep slope to the hotel foyer (some did) and it is a very steep pitch over some distance to haul up luggage and skis that was immediately headache inducing for both of us. Might be problematical for some. No assistance offered or given.

This was our second stay at the Planibel apar**ents and will not be our last. The complex is perfectly placed right by the main gondola and ski school and a couple of minutes walk into the main town. The apar**ents themselves are well furnished and more than adequate as a place to sleep. The complex has a supermarket on site as well as a pub, restaurant, take away and various other shops. The only potential downside is the size of the complex can make finding your apar**ent very difficult if you haven't been before - it is a long way from main reception to some of the blocks, so bear this in mind when you arrive!

Fantastic Service here. ideal location for access to all amenities outside the hotel. Ski lifts are literally 1 minute from the door. Good value, friendly staff and great accommodation. i would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is lovely. Perfectly situated at the gondola. The locker room for some reason is 2 floors below the level it should be. The lifts are really hard to get. Hard to describe. The food is amazing. Cruise standard but limited a bit for kids and the takeaway plays music outdoors till midnight on one side making early sleep difficult. Really warm. Really clean. Really friendly
