ソンダー ラ エンセナーダ(Sonder la Ensenada)

My room was on the first floor, a few feet below street level, right net to the exit. I was quite pleased initially; the room was clean and charming. My first night after work, the individual directly above me thought it was appropriate to invite a bunch of friends over for a party at 2am. I'm a light sleeper and tried to drown out the noise with the AC unit without much success. The second night, the exact same thing happened again; I was not a happy camper going to work just a few hours after the party above dissipated. The third night there was no party, just some cretin aimlessly stomping around. To top it off, the lack of sleep left me with a head cold. So what started as a nice trip, basically ended in disaster.

I checked into the hotel and the staff was very friendly at the front desk. Made my way upstairs and entered the room easily with the code that was provided to my email. As I entered the room the room smelt like mildew. And it was quite overwhelming of course I open the windows in the door in turned on the air conditioning to help alleviate the issue. I called customer service because nobody was at the desk downstairs it was passed 9 PM. So I made a phone call to the customer service number on the email and got somebody in Massachusetts they said they would communicate with somebody downstairs and they would be up to assist with the problem. Hours went by nobody showed up no phone call I just needed some type of for breeze or Lysol to possibly spray on the couch or locate the source of the odor. At 11 PM I gave up on anybody showing up took my shower and went to bed, in the process of taking my shower the drain in the shower would not drain or at least was an extremely slow drain so I was standing in an inch and 1/2 to 2 inches of water in the shower. Overall it's a nice place the staff is friendly I'm sure this was a minor oversight however, it's a hotel and there just needs to be maintenance occasionally.

We stayed 3 nights at this property and the staff at the front desk were very helpful. The online registration was not very good to me as it should be sending me a code but never got it. I’m glad the rep over the phone was helpful and got this sorted out. The location was near anything you want within laguna beach, from the main beach and restaurants you can even walk to a nearby Ralphs grocery store. The only problem I had was the door code in my room probably has worn out buttons that my code works intermittently throughout my stay.

Our room was pretty basic but smelled of stale cigarette smoke. It had everything we needed though, but a little overpriced for what it was. Parking was easy and convenient, and it’s close to the beach and lots of shops and restaurants.

Amazing staff, very clean and quiet. Super comfy bed and beautiful grounds. Very impressed with Sonder Laguna Beach

It's super old. The booking photo does not match the room. The photos look more nicer and luxury. It turns out to be a motel 6 room. Elevator is old. It keeps making rattling noises.

I would recommend this rental, but would make one suggestion. It's an older building that has been appropriately update - not fancy, but nice. If you have a unit on the front side of the building, the street is very very noisy. Even with the supplied noise machine and ear plugs, it was still hard to get decent sleep. I'd recommend requesting a unit off the street. Staff was excellent and the area is great. For the money, this is a great offering.

Nice property, great location. Easy check in. All done online. Very reasonably priced. Parking good be a bit cheaper
