I don’t have enough words to praise Tisha and Simon for their great hospitality. The place itself is really beautiful and it only has 4 rooms, so it is the perfect place to sit back and relax. Tisha and her staff were really nice and made sure that we had everything that we need. Then there’s the food! Unfortunately, we only stayed here for one night and it was a Monday, so we missed dinner but the breakfast and the snacks were some of the best we’ve ever had from any accommodation around the world. I cannot recommend this place enough and I would like to personally thank Tisha for her generous help and recommendations.

Fantastic homestay and probably the best dining experience I ever had in SEA! The food is simply outstanding, creative and surprising in taste and always comes with a little background story. The staff ladies are very friendly and mindful, making it really special to dine here. Staying in the hotel was also a wonderful experience (I stayed for 3 nights); this place is really a little oasis in Lahad Datu and the breakfast is again outstanding (I never had two courses of breakfast at any other hotel!). I also booked my tours to the surrounding nature with the owners Simon and Tisha, who were both very helpful in organizing the tours. The homestay is nicely located in walking distance to the airport (although you may want to consider taking a taxi because of the heat). All in all, I highly recommend this place. If you stay overnight, make sure you book your dinner with them. 😊

We could not have wished for a better stay. Beforehand, Tisha and I had been in touch about dinner. You get the option to join them for dinner, after a long day of travel, that seemed like a good idea. And what a good choice it was, we had such a delicious meal! And the atmosphere was outstanding. For us the best stay in the whole vacation. The hospitality was great, we really lacked nothing. After our tour in Danum Valley, we spent another night at Tisha and Simon's place. It felt like coming home. A great stay with a great team of people.

Bike & Tours at Lahad Data is the best B&B experience I have ever had...anywhere! Tisha and Simon are excellent hosts. Their home is beautiful, clean and comfortable and the ladies who work with them are just gorgeous - attentive, smiling and friendly and can't do enough for you. But the food....oh the food! My goodness, it is a foodie paradise here. Breakfast is always varied, healthy, often vegan and stunningly presented with all local ingredients, often grown in Simon's garden and if they offer you dinner - say YES! you won't regret it. The dinners were the absolute best we had anywhere in Malaysia. Simon and Tish are so proud of their business and bend over backwards to accommodate their guests. Unfortunately the local tour businesses have made it very difficult for them to do actual bike tours any more but the couple are still very willing to share ideas and help source drivers if you want to explore. Most people use the B&B as a start and end point to go further on organised jungle tours. This place is a wonderful rest place and I highly recommend it, at least for one night at the start and then again after your trip. Relaxing in the lovely pool in the back garden is also beautiful.

This is an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived (early) we were greeted and made to feel welcome. Simon even carried our heavy bags to our very comfortable room upstairs. We were meanwhile seated and offered a magical pea shoot juice that changed color as we added lime and sugar syrup to our individual taste. We then enjoyed a swim and were offered another cool drink. You absolutely must arrange to have dinner here. Tish has a “supper club” with a set fusion menu that is innovative and beautifully presented. She is open to any dietary concerns. Sitting in their garden with a few other tables was magical. Breakfast was equally impressive. Our stay here was an inside glimpse into local life and one of the highlights of our month long trip in Malaysia.

Wow! From the welcome drink on arrival through to the breakfast on our morning of departure the food was obviously prepared with care and the presentation was fantastic. We happened to be there on Valentine's day and not only was the dinner delicious but we all had personal handwritten place settings wishing us a happy Valentine's Day, and the ladies each had a small posy. They had brought in live musicians and decorated the room. This is just an example of the impression we had that owners and staff went the extra mile. The rooms were clean and there was a charming little garden with a small pool. There was a delightful balcony (I think they called it the orchid balcony) with lots of lovely plants, which was another pleasant place to sit. Another example of the care and attention that went into everything was the excellent coffee which they roasted themselves. It is conveniently close to the airport and makes a great overnight stay (or longer) if you are planning to go to Tabin or Danum valley. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it.

We spent one night here after a stay at Kinabatangan Wetlands Resort. The B&B is located in a very nice neighbourhood and is surrounded by a lovely garden with a pool. The staff are super friendly, the rooms practical and cute and their welcome drink and breakfast are out of this world. We never expected anything like this in a small Malaysian town! Everything is super clean and the attention to detail incredible. Thanks for a great stay!

NO Bikes and NO Tours! We booked a trip to Lahad Datu based on the glowing lonely planet review of this place. We were really looking forward to using bikes to explore the area but they couldn't even get any for us, they also had no tours. They did offer to organize a snorkel trip for us at considerably more cost than organizing it ourselves so of course we set up our own trips and tours (which were great!). Our room was ok but the staff and breakfasts were fabulous! The little pool in the garden is a great place to relax.

What a find! We just needed a place to stay in Lahad Datu before going for the Rainforest, but the ambience and delicious purple (? don't ask) drink we got upon entering immediately indicated that we had signed up something really nice. Our hosts starting this place about a year ago, and it is clearly a success. They are wonderful hospitable people. The food is outstanding and their restaurant seems to be a local hit. The rooms were comfortable with the usual oddities expected in a homestay place. What more could you ask!
