Stayed here 3 nights on a visit to Lovell FHCC (15 minutes down the road). Nice Hampton Inn. Friendly staff, decent breakfast. Standard all around. Positives. Nice warm breakfast. Very friendly staff. Close to restaurants & Lovell FHCC. Bed was excellent, and warm. Pillows were ok. Thermostat - yes! in a Chicago snow storm this was key. Fridge - nice to have for sure. Negatives -y The lamp on the desk was odd. The lampshade was huge, and it wasn't adjustable - so basically was in the way. the shower is rather narrow, and you have to be sure to have both doors closed when starting it -- or the floor gets soaked. Towels - cheap hotel ones. Toilet paper - like boot camp sandpaper There isn't a lot to eat nearby, so head into downtown Libertyville - Mickey Finn's is a great spot for one. The hotel did not have our *********** reservation when we arrived. But strangely they were able to register us without asking for our names... I guess they did not want to pay the fee. The room was spacious and clean for most of it. However, the couch was covered in animal hair. I asked for it to be cleaned but nothing happened. I don't know where the information got stuck, but this is not acceptable. The area is quiet which is nice. Air conditionning in the common areas was too high. If they don't care about the planet, they should think about the savings... Breakfast was fine.

We arranged for the bridal party for our son's wedding, along with other wedding guests, to stay at the Lincolnshire Hampton Inn which was a few minutes from the reception at the Chevy Chase Country Club. The accommodations at the hotel were the perfect venue for the bridal party to get ready on the day of the wedding, including a separate room with mirror and makeup chairs for the bridesmaids that were provided by the hotel. The staff was very accommodating, the suites were well- appointed, clean and spacious enough for everyone to meet and take pictures, and the shuttle bus that took guests to and from the hotel to the reception was a bonus. I would highly recommend using this Hampton Inn for anyone who is planning a wedding in the area.

We had confirmed a reservation for a king room with a sofa. When we checked in they gave us our room, never mentioning that the hotel manager switched us to a double-double. When I got the room I discovered it wasn't the correct room, so I called to ask to be switched because my reservation was not a double double, He lied and said it was in fact correct, but I had had the confirmed reservation in hand with a King bed. He said no and passed the phone to someone more senior. She was even worse, she said no king was available and would be for the entire length of our stay and we could move to another hotel if we didn't like it. I said I wanted the room I reserved or I wanted a free night stay because you gave my room away. She said Bonvey members are the only ones with confirmed reservations and she could give my room away if she felt like it. when I asked where is this written she found the correct room. Lastly. Marriott is so very cheap, the soap is the size of a quarter, and the body lotion is lipstick. The sheets were like sandpaper and threadbare.
