We were here for a marriage retreat with approximately 350 people. We arrived on a Thursday. The front desk personnel were nothing but kind and helpful, but that's where the "good" stopped. As we settled into our room and attempted to freshen up, the water from the sink shot out at high speed, soaking my wife. When it was brought to the attention of staff, they said they forgot to tell us the water for our building had been shut off and that there was air in the pipes. The hot water in our entire building (main building) was not working properly and did not turn hot until Sunday morning (3 days without hot water). Even then, it was intermittent because it needed 2 full days to warm up. The staff tried to be accommodating and gave us a key two days in a row for another room in another building so we could have a hot shower. Since we were with a large group, we had also reserved the Event Center and the large banquet hall under the Encore. The Event Center had no heat, and it was 57 degrees when we had our first meeting. The next day to remedy the heat, they brought in an industrial kerosene heater and ran it for about two hours, causing several of our members to get massive headaches. Our room was never serviced, and we didn't even have a sign to hang on the door to request/decline housekeeping. At approximately 8:45 am, the housekeeping personnel walked to the end of our hallway, opened an outside door, yelled, "Incoming!" as they dropped a load of laundry off the balcony. We had a large catered banquet on Saturday night that was catered by the Encore restaurant. About half of our group received raw chicken, and they ran out of several other items before the second half went through the line. The Encore restaurant was nice, and I heard their dinner in the restaurant was great. The indoor pool was nice, as well. There is a very small workout center that includes 3 treadmills and one cable set. The rooms, while recently renovated, left a lot to be desired. They looked like the contractor wanted to do the job as fast as they could. At the end of the day, I would definitely choose a different location to stay.

First girls trip ever, and this was the best place to enjoy it!! Staff was so helpful and friendly thru our whole stay. Manager did whatever he could to make our trip memorable and the best ever! Will definitely be back!

Wow, Cannot say enough about the General Manager, Jasen Jones! His professionalism, knowledge, and kindness, IS the reason we chose this location - and are we glad we did! We stayed in the Townhomes and such understated luxury, we were amazed at the reasonable price! Do not let the more dated exterior of the main building scare you, as inside, it's something else! It was a good feeling for 2 ladies noting the door to our building was available by room key entry only. We opened the door to our room and were amazed, the high ceiling, beautiful color scheme, super luxurious king size bed and pillows were INCREDIBLE!! The large shower and "rainfall" type shower head - even better! Loved the fridge and microwave, and coffee maker that came with the accommodations were handy as well. We spent our downtime at The Encore swim up pool bar and the food there was DIVINE, a little on the pricey side, but delish! Lots of adriondac type chairs and side tables were a nice plus as well, the only negative is that we didn't spend more time there! This location is our new go-to, when visiting LOTO! Jasen Jones and crew, their welcome, his knowledge of the area and "things to do/places to go, did NOT disappoint! His easy going nature was a balm to our worn out, and needing a girls trip souls and we cannot wait to come back !to stay at The Resort at Lake of the Ozarks

We visited The Resort at Lake of the Ozarks this past weekend. It was a quick weekend couples get away and it had all we needed in one place! We hung out at the Encore pool all day and had lunch and drinks. We ate dinner at the Encore Sky Bar and the food was amazing! There was live music that was very fun. Next day we played golf which was only a short drive away from the resorts location. We decided to eat at the resort again because the food was so good the night before. We ate at the Sky Bar overlooking the lake. There was dueling pianos that were very entertaining. Food was great again. Michael Yount was our bartender both days at the pool and Sky Bar. He was awesome, knew his stuff, and was great conversation!! We stayed in a King room which had been updated. The bathroom was a little tight but overall fit exactly what we needed for a quick weekend. It had views of the pool and lake. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely be back! The food was awesome and there was something to do and people to talk to all weekend long!

The room was clean and very spacious. The food service and food was great at the Encore. They took great care of us for a birthday party. They have a lot of great entertainment and keep it going all year. It is nice to have this at Lake of The Ozarks

I had a great time here! Encore has some amazing food and staff as well! Nice heated pool! Clean rooms, friendly staff, great location! I wouldn’t wanna stay anywhere else! Thank you guys for everything!

We just spent a fantastic weekend at the Resort at Lake of the Ozarks and couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised! The rooms were completely updated and the bed was one of the most comfortable nights sleep we’ve had in a long time. Had a great dinner at the Encore, and the food, atmosphere, service, and entertainment were awesome!

Staff is wonderful and the Restaurant / Bar is great! Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. They even helped me retrieve some item I had left behind in my room. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
