レイク シャスタ ロッジ(Lake Shasta Lodge)

We needed a place close to the Shasta Caverns, and this seemed convenient. On the positive side, the assistant manager who checked us in was very nice and helpful. When I walked into the room, it was like going back in time sixty years, which was not a bad thing; it was kind of nostalgic, actually. The room was also very clean. It is, though, bare-bones, with no extra frills, which is fine for just an overnight stay. Interstate 5 is very close, so you’ll hear traffic, especially trucks, all night long, but I always travel with earplugs. A suggestion I would make is maybe put a tableside lamp on the other side of the bed as well. And maybe a luggage rack to put your suitcase on inside the closet. Also, the mattress was very, very firm, so maybe bed toppers would help? Other than those few things, our experience was pleasant, and I would recommend it.

Avoid this place at all costs. The hosts/lodge owners are incredibly inhospitable and unwilling to help. Our stay turned into a nigh**are when we discovered our room had no heater in the middle of a freezing night with sub-zero temperatures outside. Despite the presence of other vacant rooms, no alternatives were offered. They begrudgingly gave us a small portable heater for a spacious room, which didn't even work. When we requested an additional heater, their only solution was to check out. STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST VISITING THIS PLACE!

Our stay was nice. The room was cozy and comfortable. There is a dining option which is at walking distance. It is also near to Lake Shasta Caverns. I will recommend Lake Shasta Lodge.

The room was a nice size. Clean room but big stain on curtains... strange smell. Very nice man checked us in and was very helpful. All in all great for our quick stop on our way from coast. Loved the friendly cats on property!

This little motel is next to Klub Klondike a 1940’s building with good food. It easy to check in forget that you will need to drive all day the next day. Great to not drive for an over night stay.

It was mostly clean but found hairs in the shower and on top of toilet. The furnitture and appliances are very old. It needs to be remodeled. Run down. The attendant was very nice.

Great place close to the city, lake and lots of hiking. I was surprised the cabin had a cook top and dishes. I would definitely come back again. We stayed 3 nights in Redding and wished I had stayed here the whole time.

Never again. I would not stay at this place. It is worn out. It needs a complete remodel. Floors and furniture are scratched and paint peeling. The AC did work.

I thought this hotel was in Mt Shasta so i had to back track south It's fine for overnight, very dated, could use some updating However, excellent service, had micro, frig no restaurants; have to get back on freeway if you're hungry Great price
