ホテル アム ヴッサーファル(Hotel am Wasserfall)

The breakfast was good but there is NO air conditioning in the room. It was so hot that I could not get sleep. But even more annoying: There were 5 houseflies in my room! They interrupted my peace - I will never forget this bad experience. I will not come back.

This hotel is set in beautiful surroundings in a lovely area. Unfortunately we arrived on a Saturday and discovered this area is exceptionally popular with walkers/cyclists and day trippers. We eventually managed to find a parking space as a couple let us know they were about to leave. We were only staying one night and found our room (a disabled room) to be spacious and comfortable. There were so many people we were unable to get a table in the restaurant but did manage to get a meal in the outside restaurant. The meal wasn't great but adequate. Lovely waitress. Breakfast buffet, one girl clearing tables and replenishing the buffet. If staying again we would make sure it was not at the weekend.

Lovely room. Nice view. Always boats moving past. Good food and bar. Really nice staff. Decent spa and pool. Very good free parking. Our room didn’t have air conditioning but that wasn’t a problem for us. Lovely walks for many miles alongside the canal and river.

No parking space for one small car, although had 2 rooms. No instructions for wifi access at check in, wifi access didn’t work in room, although it did work in other parts of the hotel. Night Shift at reception declared they had no knowledge about it. Morning shift said they were sorry and there were plans to upgrade. Att choses the plan my phone uses on their international plan and that plan had super low data rates. So effectively we were all off line during our stay here. Bedside has no outlets to plug in phone, have to string cable across floor, tripping hazard for using bathroom. Breakfast was great!!! Setting is truly exceptional!

Not a 4 stars hotel, very tiny room with single bed looks like student room! Some complimentary stuffs on the bathroom, but not checked and some where empty… Some holes and even some body hairs… ugly. The surrounding is very nice and the restaurant also, but skip the hotel.

Magical place, but hotel has no air-condition and is bit old. Bed was so soft so I can not sleep. Breakfast was also bit disappointing. My room has small window for the roof so next disappoin**ent. Reception staff was wonderful and very kind as well as helpful.

Het was een net hotel. Jammer dat er op de kamer maar een stoel was zodat je als je op je kamer wilde vertoeven dat je op het bed moest gaan zitten of liggen. Verder was het netjes en schoon. S'avonds gezellig naar Ems Eiland wat gedronken. Daar was het altijd gezellig druk en vriendelijk personeel.

Een geweldige plek, maar het Hotel is verouderd. Ontbijt was prima. Veel fruit en gelukkig weinig frituur, maar het brood was droog.
