Fabulous space, staff, breakfast buffet and location. We were there 4 days Oct 30-Nov 2. Staff were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet went until 11, excellent selection including various types of made to order eggs, cappucino/espresso, sliced meats and cheese, bacon, fruits (even passion fruit), juices, yogurt, etc. and Pasteis de Nata. A welcome drink in the bar and a small bottle of wine in the room were nice additions. No issues getting extra towels if needed. We were drenched with rain ine day and staff dried our clothes and soaked running shoes. Staff really were very nice all the time. And our room was a great space.

This is the 2nd time we chose to stay here. A nice welcome back greeting and seeing the same faces from our last visit was refreshing. We stayed in the same room we had before however this time what was noticeable was the noise starting Thursday evening to the wee hours of the morning and all weekend. We were located on the higher floor but could still hear and feel the boom boom from the bars down below. It was definitely not that way the last time we were here 2 years ago. That’s why the 4 stars. Other than that we do like the spaciousness of the suite, comfy bed and nicely equipped kitchen. AC working nicely too. They only put 2 bath and 2 hand towels and we had to call each day to get more instead of housekeeping just supplying more when they did their stay over service. Breakfast selection was good too and till 11AM which was great! Despite these few hiccups we would certainly stay here again. Location, accommodations and service are great for us we would just request to be located in the quieter side of the building which we were told they would do and does exist!

Lovely hotel. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Cool art. The room was fantastic. Our room had 4 sinks, 2 toilets, 2 sofas and 2 air conditions units. It was spacious, high ceilings, comfortable bed and great quirky furniture. I loved this hotel But, sadly I can’t recommend it. The hotel is near a lot of very very busy and noisy bars. The nearest is, we were told, the only bar in Lisbon licensed to stay open till 4am. As you can see from the photos the alcohol filled customers move out onto the street and party, party, party. The hotel has double double glazing. Yes, two sets of double glazed windows. Plus shuttles and heavy curtains. In addition they supply ear plugs but we still got woken up. The noise from the bars was on a completely different level than anything we had experienced in any hotel in the world. We were initially told that this was particularly bad on a Friday and Saturday. On the Sunday morning we complained and they did offer us an alternative room next to the lift. But given that we were told it was going to get better we didn’t move. I started to write this review at 3.20 am on Monday night (Tuesday morning) I can tell you that was a bad mistake. We live in London and so we are used to noise but even in London you get to sleep. To give you an idea how noisy it is, during their day there is building work going opposite but we didn’t hear it from our room be because of the sound proofing. The hotel has 4 rooms on each floor. Two face R das Norte and two face R das Gaveas. They are marked N and G, respectively. Do not make the same mistake that we did and stay in a room with a N. For the avoidance of doubt, I don’t blame the staff. The staff has to deal with the hand they are dealt. They were sympathetic and told us they call the police nearly every night. One staff member got so stressed about the noise that he ended up in a fight with some revellers. I do blame the council who allow bars to be open till 4pm and I blame the police. Of course, mostly I blame the bars for not giving a dam and the punters. I also blame the management who, despite our agent passing on a request at the time of booking, for us to have a quiet room, put us in the 2nd floor room nearest the bar. On our last night we manage to get a room on R da Gaveas and got a good nights sleep. Of course, you might be a heavy sleeper or you might want to go to the bar until 4am. In which case this hotel is perfect. Or you might be happy to take a 50/50 bet on being on the quieter side. For us, we will stay somewhere else next time .

Raw Art and Culture is a very unique hotel. The industrial chic design is amazing and do very well done. The staff becomes “family” immediately; genuinely catering to every need. The lodging space is more than ample and comfortable for a couple. We will return!

Raw Culture exceeded our expectations in every way, The room was amazing and clean. The bed was just like home. We enjoyed a great breakfast every morning with really good music for background. The decor were so fun and tastefully done. It is centrally located so it was easy to go any and everywhere. The staff were so helpful, knowledgable and friendly. It was by far the best hotel we stayed at on our Portugal excursion. We will be back for sure.

A unique space that is comfortable and in the center of it all in Lisbon. The staff is super service-oriented and friendly.

We honestly can’t speak highly enough of Raw Culture: we had an absolutely fantastic stay there at the end of March. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome. The team of staff is friendly and knowledgeable, telling us about the building and the art as well as helping us to make decisions about where to visit, how best to travel to our chosen destinations and to book some excellent restaurants. Our loft (‘Bold’) was amazing: comfortable, cosy and spacious with so many excellent touches. It was such a treat to stay there for 5 nights. The communal space downstairs is a great place to relax after a day of sightseeing and the cocktails are delicious! Breakfast is a calm and tasty start to each day with the buffet options complemented by a range of options on request: the poached eggs, the scrambled eggs and the avocado toast became firm favourites. Although we ended up in Lisbon during some pretty freak weather, almost getting washed away in Alfama on one day and nearly blown off the top of (the superb) MAAT the day after, the comfort and ambiance of Raw Culture meant that our visit wasn’t spoiled at all: we wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you to everyone who was on the team from Sunday 24 to Friday 29 March: absolutely brilliant!

Amazing stay at this boutique hotel. Location is very central and easy to walk everywhere. Great restaurants and bars on your doorstep. The rooms are huge! Fully fitted kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Windows were double windows to block out street noise and also shutters which meant we were not disturbed at night. The breakfast has a fantastic selection and is super fresh. The bar has a great atmosphere and good drinks selection. The art in this hotel is a personal collection of the owner and worth spending time to look at. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. The service is so personal as there are only 12 rooms. They take the time to understand their guests and take a real interest in the guests. Their advice was invaluable and the WhatsApp service means they are always on hand. Would thoroughly recommend if you are looking for a small boutique hotel with a personal service and great rooms.

We had a brilliant time here, the hotel is fantastic in every way. The staff are great, knowledgeable and friendly, giving advice, suggestions and help. The rooms are amazing and this is one of the best hotels we've stayed in. Each room is essentially a spacious apartment. Our loft was very spacious with a fully equipped kitchen, 2 WCs and shower room with seating and lounge area and with each being individually decorated. It's all a warehouse style with polished concrete floors, exposed ceiling and steelwork, brilliantly designed with a cool vibe. Nice touches were a complementary drink in the bar and half a bottle of wine in the room. Breakdast was great with eggs and coffee to order and a really good continental spread of fruit, meats and pastries. They also sourced gluten free bread, a different one each day from a local bakery as I'm coeliac. Can't rate this highly enough. Book direct for best price and go here if you can. We loved it.
