I can see why their concierges Tomas Fernandes and Miguel Silva were recognized as Portugal’s Best Concierges for 2025. They both anticipated our every need from booking trains, tours, restaurants, guides, shopping and more. Always finding the perfect places. Loved them both. The hotel is super charming and well appointed. My only small concern was the rooms are super tiny. And although we were in the second floor above the entrance- it was loud with street noise. I would absolutely return to this hotel- with a higher floor room. Make sure you book breakfast in their stunning restaurant Rocco or dinner. Tiago is the waiter you want for dinner and Alexis for breakfast. Pedro the bar tender is a true master mixologist. Hotel is perfectly located and near all the action. Enjoy!
Recomendo vivamente!
My husband and I stayed at My Story Hotel Figueira for four nights in July 2024. We selected the hotel based on its convenient location to key tourist attractions and public transportation, reviews, and reasonable price. We weren't disappointed. We reserved a Double Room, City View. Despite being centrally located, we never had any issues with street noise in our room. The room and bathroom were also decently sized and we were able to comfortably hang out in the room in the afternoons when it got too hot outside. I reached out to the hotel in advance of our trip to inquire about early check in. While the hotel couldn't promise our room would be available early, they were very responsive to my emails. Ultimately, we ended up reserving the room for the night prior to our arrival so we could get into the room immediately to clean up and relax a bit before starting to see the city. We ate breakfast one morning at the hotel when we had to get going particularly early for a day trip. The breakfast was pretty standard (a mix of pastries, cereal, fruits, cheese, meats, limited hot dishes, etc.) but very convenient and we didn't have any complaints. Given the number of restaurants and bakeries in the area, the price of the hotel breakfast was a little steep (€19/person), but was convenient for a day when we were shorter on time.
From the moment you see the sign on the glimmering white tiled building and walk through the revolving door into the vintage lobby, you feel you’ve stepped back in time. You are on vacation from the hustle and bustle of our modern lives. The lobby is centered around a beautiful bar with superb cocktails and cold Super Bock on tap. The staff is sharply dressed and attentive and constantly making sure the breakfast buffet is well presented and fully stocked. The self serve mimosa bar and Lavazza Super automatic Espresso machines are a nice touch. The made to order omelettes and pastries are delicious. The rooms are comfortable with all the modern amenities including an awesome rain shower. If I’m being picky my only complaint was the AC in the room had trouble keeping up with the AC in the hallways and the automatic touch button LED lights didn’t have dimmers. The bathroom lights were blinding in the middle of the night. The gym was well equipped and located in the basement next to the well designed vintage business center. The vintage rotary phones were also a nice touch. Thank you for a wonderful couple of days in a beautiful neighborhood walking distance from most of the top Burroughs.
The Villa Baixa in Lisbon is a fantastic hotel with a prime location that makes it easy to explore the city's main attractions and access the train station. The one-bedroom apartment we stayed in featured a cozy balcony with a view of the pretty street below. The living area was well-furnished with a comfortable couch, coffee table, TV, and dining setup, making it feel like a home away from home. The kitchenette in our apartment was impressively equipped, including a small stove, refrigerator, and ample storage for food. This would have made it convenient to prepare meals during our stay, complemented by an array of kitchen utensils, cups, and plates. Additionally, the presence of a kettle and coffee maker with a limited supply of coffee pods was a thoughtful touch. The bathroom was spacious, with a large sink and a shower that offered excellent water pressure. The bedroom had a dark and quiet environment that ensured restful sleep, despite the bustling neighborhood outside. While the Villa Baixa does not offer on-site amenities and has limited front desk hours, the staff's friendliness and helpfulness made up for it. They were delightful and kind, contributing positively to our overall experience. However, it's worth noting that early arrivals may face challenges, as we did, when our red-eye flight left us waiting until 9 AM to check in. Despite these minor inconveniences, our stay was wonderful, and we would gladly return, especially with our seven-year-old daughter. Villa Baixa is a highly recommended choice for anyone visiting Lisbon!
Fabulous location, steps to subway and the beautiful park. Room was huge, bed comfortable and the host went out of his way to make us welcome and cater to our schedule. We had to leave prior to breakfast being served and he was kind enough to make us a sandwich to enjoy prior to departure.....way above expected. Private bathroom a bit small but more than adequate, well sticked and clean as a whistle. Just doesn't get better!!
ゲゲストStayed 3 nights at this hotel. Location was near to one of the squares which had the Christmas market. But about a 30 min walk to the famous arc. Hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included - food offerings were simple with not much variety but tasted decent. Good enough just for some fuel to start the day.
ゲゲストEXCELLENT Customer Service! Lovely accommodations, great breakfast, but great staff! When we arrived, we realized there was one piece of my CPAP machine that I failed to pack. When my travel medical insurance people were no help, I went to the front desk. Rui the manager on duty was excellent! He had a contact that sent him a picture of what she could provide. Once I OK'd it, she brought it to the hotel the next morning, allowed me to check it with my machine and then I paid her. THANK YOU so much to RUI for his help! Without that help my vacation would not have been so good. Also it is a great location for walking and sightseeing.
