My family and myself including my cat was placed at residence Inn in Livonia Michigan through my renters insurance because we were displaced from our home on Christmas morning. We checked in 1231, 2022 and we are still here. I am so very disappointed with this place, the employees management cleaning staff, and all not to mention Not only was at charged, a pet fee of $156 after one of the cleaning people came in snooping around and saw my cat which is included in my renters insurance placement. My parking my cat and a family of four we were given a two bedroom suite Which is mediocre compared to other resident and I have stayed at over $500 no let me be Pacific $496 has been taken from my card so far, I’ve only got one the $156 back for the Pet fee I have not been able to speak with management as of yet the young ladies at the desk can be downright rude, not willing to listen to what you’re trying to say when you have evidence of everything you were telling him right in your the palm of your hand I had to reach out to ALE solutions to get them to call directly while us literally stood at the desk waiting for them to stop taking phones from my card I will be contacting my insurance company and upper management at ALE SOLUTIONS TO PUT IN A COMPLAINT, BECAUSE I AM VERY DISSATISFIED. I AM VERY UNHAPPY, AND I AM VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE HOTEL AS A WHOLE I WILL NOT READ THIS SAY STAR BECAUSE THAT’S HOW I FEEL ABOUT THIS PLACE. THEY DESERVE NO STARS FOR THE WAY I’VE BEEN TREATED THE WAY I’VE BEEN SPOKEN TO AND TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF if you have a hardship at your home, I have been paying for my renters insurance for years and never had to use my renters insurance or my car insurance and if this is what I can look forward to then I’m up the creek without a paddle, because this place has no feelings no regard for the things that you’re going through or a reason why you’re here all they care about is the MONEY………. One of the young ladies at the desk was so rude. She refuse to give me the email address so that I could pass it on to the employee of ALE solutions they could not get the email so the lady said it will give me the email address. I’ll email you a copy of Miss Ankom’s contract. I had a horrible morning yesterday morning in that lobby trying to get them to stop taking money from my card and trying to make me think. And that I am the one that’s Trippin.

Overall, the hotel is clean and well maintained. However When we arrived to check in, our room was not ready until around 3:25 PM which was very disappointing, as we were very tired from driving long hours.
During the night, the cleaning guy at the lobby was very noisy, speaking loudly on his phone speaker, while we were trying to relax and have coffee, thus we left the whole lobby for him and went to our rooms.
I had a poor experience at the Sheraton in Novi while staying with a family member to celebrate a belated Christmas as we weren't able to get together around Christmas proper. While I was upgraded to a room on the club lounge floor, the guest room I received was not clean by any definition of clean. There was hair on the desk and desk chair, hair on the toilet, hair under the toilet seat, hair on the wrapped bar of soap and soap dish, stains on the desk, and stains on the face tissue container. The single bathrobe hanging in the closet appeared to have been previously worn and didn't have a cincture. On my reservation I specifically requested only 100% feather pillows. My reservation also requested a bathrobe, slippers, extra pillows and extra towels. I didn't receive any of those things. The four pillows were four polyester down-alternative pillows. Those pillows are horrible. They always feel like someone stuffed cotton balls in a pillowcase. During check-in I noticed a sign at the front desk saying daily housekeeping is not provided, unless specially requested. The major cleanliness issues that I experienced are a direct result of what happens when hotels don't clean rooms and other spaces each and every day. I received zero Marriott Bonvoy elite status recognition. Specifically, I was not offered the choice at check-in of breakfast in the restaurant, an amenity or points. I complained to the general manager, who to his credit acknowledged the lack of cleanliness was unacceptable, fully apologized and took responsibility. To resolve the issue, he offered to comp my stay and ensure that the room was thoroughly cleaned while we were out of the room and off-property at a nearby shopping mall. He also apologized for the lack of Bonvoy recognition and provided the $100 cash compensation that is required by Marriott for not offering guest with platinum or higher Bonvoy status the choice at check-in of breakfast in the restaurant, an amenity or points. When we returned, the room was properly cleaned. The pillows were replaced with feather pillows, although none of the feather pillows had pillow protectors or pillowcase liners. Two clean bathrobes and two pairs of slippers were placed in the closet. The general manager was also kind enough to leave a bottle of wine in the room. My family member was really appreciative of that gesture. Despite the issues, the staff that I encountered throughout the stay were polite, welcoming and hospitable. That aside, there was zero excuse for the cleanliness issues or the lack of attention to what was specified on the reservation The club lounge was open with an average evening offering that included a selection of assorted cheeses, crackers, grapes, fruit and some basic canapés. Besides free nonalcoholic drinks, an honor bar featured cheap house wine ($5 retail bottles of wine) selling for $5 a glass. The club lounge is a nice smaller space. Very comfortable beds, quiet, nice lobby and courtyard where we hung out with friends after returning from out 60th H.S. Reunion. Rooms were clean and very nice, but also are being updated and renovated right now. Bistro [breakfast] staff were friendly as can be, food came out of the kitchen promptly, with any empty dish cleared immediately. The staff were the best part. Front desk clerk Ashley helped us by printing a small document I needed from my e-mail on my phone, housekeeping manager Denise immediately offered assistance without being asked, to a tablemate who choked on his food, and I could go on and on about their kindnesses, always with a smile and great eye contact. The manger was very responsive to inquiries and requests, too. These folks each have a great personality and have been well trained. One of the Bistro staff was having great concern over family and friends suffering this weekend form the fires in Lahaina, Maui, but was attentive and professional in spite of her personal angst. A good value, we will stay here again.
