The hotel is modern and we got a free upgrade to a room with a balcony, in winter while it was raining. The room was small with just enough room for a double, the balcony was okay but was adjacent to the extraction for the kitchen, which wasn’t great as my partner is a chef so I was surprised not to find them in the fetal position in the closet rocking back and forwards most mornings. The closet wasn’t really useful but it made harry potters look spacious. There was also mould on the doors to the balcony. Bathroom door can only be closed if you choose not to be in there as there’s not enough place to close the door from with in bathroom. Also towel rail made bathroom unbearably hot. Breakfast was a bit of an odd one but I respect the hotel in not serving pork products but when I asked for fried eggs they never turned up with no exception but my parts scrambled eggs did turn up and they were extremely watery and cold.

stayed here with no problems before, this time I checked in and there was a horrible smell in the room. turned out RAW SEWAGE was leaking into the room when the room above me was flushing their toilet HOW DISGUSTING. 5 nights of stay in this horrible place they finally moved me on the last night to a different room. They never refunded me or offered anyway to make it up. HORRIBLE DO NOT STAY HERE

A good location but otherwise a disappointment. The rooms are tiny. Ours was just 9m^2. Seriously. I’m not large (168cm tall) and could reach both walls at the same time. My husband at 186cm dwarfed the room completely. The carpet was dirty although surfaces and linen was ok. The bed though was 2x2’6 beds pushed together and were so uncomfortable. You can’t even get water without extra cost (£3.50 per small bottle) and as others have said there is no insulation between you and other rooms and you can hear everything. Not worth even the competitive rate through Groupon. Wouldn’t recommend or use again.

Pleasantly surprised with the Commodore hotel. Needed a room for an overnight team event but self-funded. My single room was quite small, but was well-appointed with new-ish items. The en-suite shower was good. Well located for the Central line. Was great value for a mid-week stay. Would stay again

Nothing like it looks on the site.. seems very tired. We had a disabled room for some reason which was large with separate seating area. There was mould on the shower curtain, the washbasin tap was wonky, the shower kind of dribbled with no pressure whatsoever and the heating didn’t work. We were woke at 7:30am both mornings by the cleaner who decided to vacuum right outside our door with an endless amount of banging. Would I stay here again , not a chance! It was 2 star (in my opinion) at best. The staff however were pleasant and efficient. We tried to check out but after waiting ten minutes at the reception desk for a member of staff, we gave up and just left. Disappointing!!!

Immaculate newly refurbished room with designer quality bathroom and soft large towels plus toiletries. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and a very helpful waiter was on hand to bring in cooked orders. The stars at this hotel were the Reception staff who showed us up to our room, carrying our small case. On departure they again took our case outside to our car. All with smiles and utmost courtesy.

The Commodore Hotel exceeded all expectations for my solo 9-day stay in London. The room was small but newly renovated with everything you could need, including aircon and a fridge. The location was perfect, near Kensington Gardens with multiple public transport options nearby. Fantastic spot for solo travellers, particular younger females. The area felt safe while still being central. Affordable rates too, I would love to stay here again on my next trip to London! Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

10th-12th Two nights. Double Exec. Ground floor. Small bathroom clean but adequate. Other guest were noisy outside our door/ near lift and between reception. Did not eat there. Close to Lancaster Gate underground handy for our trip into West End. Unfortunately no bus routes nearby to get to Kings Cross/St Pancreas so quite a bit of walking.
