Bags pack, in the lobby and calls, go out to get a Didi, then a taxi and finally a check for a bus and possible train. For our 1 1/2 hour drive from Guangzhou to Cloud Nine Hot springs ALL forms of travel had been cancelled. Disappointment and then anger was reached as an attempt to refund the trip or to possibly rebook a trip at a later date were both rejected. Ironically the covid case was in the hot springs area NOT Guangzhou but my friend and I were told tough for you and left losing $1000! HORRIBLE service and shameful behavior on both the booking company and the hotel to not rectify a situation that most certainly had nothing to do with us!!
