パドラーズ レーン リトリート(Paddler's Lane Retreat)

Lovely, peaceful and quiet (except when the freight trains roll by). Clean, and comfortable. Outside there is deck seating, and seating by the river. A bit scary to get to (one way road with NO place to pull off) and limited restaurants anywhere nearby before high season. But I'd stay again in a minute. Living room was lovely but it was a be-outside evening. Fabulous kitchen. Great breakfast offerings serve-yourself style. We stayed in the second house on the Lane, my sister and I had separate rooms (they ARE small) with in-suite lovely bathrooms. Linens were great. Beds were comfy. We shared the house with another couple who were in the bedroom with a bath on the hall. Lovely, relaxing time. 30 minutes to Fallingwater.

Paddler's Lane is nestled in a lovely corner of Southwestern PA. The grounds were beautiful and well-kept; the house was clean and cozy. It felt homey, warm, and inviting. I chatted with Dan while there, and he was friendly and full of tips about sites to visit while in the area. A little path takes you down to the river. I loved hearing the gurgling river nearby. The train was loud when it went past and the room a bit small, but these aspects in no way ruined an otherwise peaceful experience. I only mention for those who might might be particularly sensitive to loud noises or in need of a room that's larger. I would definitely recommend Paddler's Lane for a quiet getaway and am planning on going back for a camping trip!

A small group of friends stayed here in mid-May and we were really happy with our accommodations, the fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and probably especially how beautiful the location is. Our hosts were very friendly and responsive. 10 out of 10 and would stay here again.

Great place to stay! Extremely clean and comfortable with beautiful surroundings. We were thrilled with our two night stay, and could have easily stayed three nights! Truly felt like home. We are hoping to make another visit later in the year.

We could not have asked for a better place to spend some quiet time with our friends. The chalet had everything we needed but was not ostentatious. "Cozy and warm" is a fitting phrase. And to be right on the river - I was in heaven. And the "campus" was beautiful. We hope to return.

The retreat exceeded expectations. Incredible view of the river in a cottage that is spit spot clean with every imaginable ammenity - I wish we could have stayed longer. Robin is an excellent, thougtful host. Looking forward to our next visit to Paddler's Lane Retreat!

Met friends at Paddler's Creek hoping we could find a nice spot to hang out and talk. It was a glorious day and the Andirondack chairs by the stream filled the bill beautifully, as did the comfy living room during the even ing hours. The grounds are simply beautiful. The house was beautifully decorated with handcrafted rugs, and furniture and pottery. I plan to go back to enjoy the stream, fish nearby and will grill the fish on the deck. What a fabulous place! Thanks to Robin and Dan.

Very nice place all around. Would definitely like to come back. Enjoyed being right on the river with the soft sound of flowing water. The train goes by in back but not very often and it was a nostalgic reminder of the ebb and flow of our world. Very clean and comfortable.

We had a great stay at Paddler's Lane! It's a perfect setup for multiple families (we had 4 adults and 3 kids). The house is charming, and the view of the river is incredibly peaceful and beautiful! I recommend bringing your own food to cook as there are very few options for eating out nearby, especially in the off-season (we stayed in March). Great proximity to Ohiopyle State Park and Fallingwater- both of which we loved!
