We had a nice stay, the room is clean and nice, bus stop is just outside the hotel, 10 mins to downtown every 5 mins bus. And the hotel staff is very kind and helpful with advice and tips

Never have I come across staff that are so genuinely interested in your comfort and wellbeing. 99% of hotels have staff that are helpful and friendly but chatting to Samer at reception for 2 minutes revealed a person that really wanted to make sure you had what you needed and were comfortable. He insisted on going out of his way to make sure we had what we needed. We were travelling light (backpacks only) but Samer insisted on carrying our youngest’s backpack to the room (note, there is no lift). Located with a bus stop right next to the hotel and given a free city pass for all guests made access to town and the surrounds super easy - you’re only a couple of minutes from the main station. The rooms and hotel are neat and clean and set in a quiet and picturesque residential area. Our rooms had TV (that actually had watchable channels) coffee station, kettle, hair dryer, wardrobe, luggage counters and built in heating, but no mini fridge. There were plenty of plug points with USB-A plugs as well, making charging devices easy and convenient. Our bathrooms were small but had all the functionality offered in bigger and more expensive hotel rooms. I would highly recommend Hotel Spatz simply due to their staff - you can be confident that should something be needed in your stay, they will go above and beyond to assist you. Location was perfect for our trip and the staff at the reception was accomodating. The maids forgot to flush the toilet when we arrived. Also the maids forgot to refill the cups and bathroom glasses in our room. Besides this the water pressure, hot water, room size, extra bed and amenities were perfect. You should choose the room for its location.

The hotel is about a 20 minute walk to the river and the station. Walked it both night and day and I felt very safe. Reception is clearly signposted and you walk through a little outdoor area with chairs and tables to get there. There is a lovely reception/restaurant area (where you can also grab your coffees) Check in was easy and fast. The staff were very friendly. We seem to have a large room with a balcony area which had a couple of chairs and a table outside (not every room had this). Restaurant was open from about 7/8am where I was able to grab a coffee and soft drink. A clothed Iron was available on request. We explored the city at night and the reception area was shut by the time we got back but the room keys gave us access through a different door which was really useful. Overall, we had a really pleasant stay and I would absolutely return.

Super friendly staff. Spacious upper room Under the roof. Thankfully they had temporary AC in the room. Good cappuccino. Note no Lift to the upper floor. Easy access to downtown or the motorway which just around the corner. Parking at hand.

This was the first time in many years that I stayed in a hotel instead of an Airbnb. I loved the experience at Hotel Spatz. Location - just 5 minutes from Lucerne main station and 10 minutes by walk. Very close to the old town. Excellent breakfast. Very clean rooms and relatively large when compared to Switzerland standards. Seedy at the reception was excellent, helpful and a very genuine human being. Loved my conversations with him. The owner is very friendly and jovial. Overall the place has a very homely feel to it. I had forgot my jacket at the hotel and they were kind enough to ship it to my Accomodation in Grindelwald. Even if I think hard, I can’t find anything to fault.

Nice, small and clean hotel; good location; excellent staff but uncomfortable due to very small room and extremely small bathroom. Also, terribly expensive by marketing / booking agent ( not by hotel).

Really liked this Hotel and the main person gentleman at the reception. Very, very helpful. He went out of his way and provided a small mini fridge to store our meds and ice packs. Carried our luggage up the stairs as the hotel could not be equipped with an elevator. Very convenient location bus stop right in front of the Hotel 5 minutes away from the main railway station. Free bus service was offered. Room was spacious enough for 3 adults. Really liked this Hotel very much. If we do plan another visit this will be the Hotel to revisit. Thank you so much.
