Coorg is amongst the newest destinations for a Marriott Bonvoy property in India, and was therefore an auto choice for us when we were planning our road trip through the coffee plantations of South India. The drive in from Chikmagalur and Somwarpet is a visual treat and a must do. The Marriott is located just off the road from Somwarpet and that meant an easy entry without having to pass through the city. The drive off the highway navigated through the plantations, and the resort was beautifully nestled within, with hills and greenery all around. We were welcomed with a traditional shawl and drink and were quickly helped onto the large Plantation Villa . The villa was large and very tastefully done, and had all of the luxuries that one could ask for. The food at both Madikeri Kitchen and Grills by the Valley was consistently good - do try and spend the evening at Grills by the Valley. They have a story telling session as well there, which you can combine later wuth dinner. The service was phenomenal all across - be it the room service, the restaurant, the play area or even for that matter, the gym or the buggy drivers. The kids game centre is a lot of fun, for the kids as well as the adults. The play area had pretty much everything that one could ask for - chess, table tennis, snooker, et al. The team at Coorg is the best. The live songs and games during high tea were fab as well, and the highlight really was the team singing joyfully together during Chris**as. The resort is large, and while buggies are available, it is advisable to just walk around and relax on the comfortable cocoons that are around the property, or even the beautiful tents around the pool. Another thing that you should not miss are the fantastic sunsets - they are simply splendid. There are a lot of beautiful birds as well around the property. This is easily amongst the best Marriott resorts in India, and we certainly would like to come back soon to unwind, relax and spend some qualtiy time . Thanks, team Marriott.

We were looking for pet friendly resorts within 5 to 6 hours of drive time and we came across Coorg Marriott from a Youtuber and immediately made our reservations and was one of the best decisions. The property is located in a very beautiful, serene location. We can hear the peacocks in the morning and variety of different birds. It was a very seamless process from reservation to check in and check out. We got a call on the previous day providing details on drive and route to take. Durga and the team were very friendly and ensured that we had a very pleasant stay. The breakfast and lunch spread were huge while we could NOT find any shortcoming the stand outs were for different types of egg-based dishes, pan cakes, waffles and French toast. The staff in the restaurant were very helpful and also Chef who was always around to help. Our dinner was always in-room dining and again they ensured that food was at the right temperature by the time it reached the room. Unfortunately, we could not get experience SPA during this visit. Big shout out Durga and the team across the floor were very friendly and courteous. We had gone there with a pet, and he absolutely loved the stay. My pet is a very fussy eater, but he did not throw ***y tantrums and enjoyed the food that we got there and off course the green landscape. If you are looking for a pet friendly place and perfectly set up resort this should be in your bucket list.

Coorg Marriott Property,staff,food,cleanliness,spa everything excellent. Chef Brijesh,chef Andrew made excellent food. Rahul, Mohan and everybody were very warm and helpful. In front desk staff and spa trea**ent was tooo good with Ni****h.overall experience was very very good.

Memorable trip for lifetime to my entire family. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Excellent hospitality and very cordial host team. Right from the entry till checkout is facilitated so well and organised. Kids loved this place and resisted to board the car at the time of checking out. The property is maintained with high standards and let you attach with nature. Good recreation facilities and professional staff to ensure you will not waste your time a single minute during the stay.

Awesome, loved the Hi tea and the Tambola game. It was fun........... Would like to visit more often The pool was so beautiful and Enjoyed the cleanliness of the hotel..The staff was very friendly and the food was top notch!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing!

We planned a family outing, and a booked a family villa with 2BHK, attached with temperature controlled plunge pool. The check-in was smooth, and we ushered into the property. The property is very designed and maintained extending to around 40 acres. The occupancy was less during our stay, and that helps as the staff have the required bandwidth to serve provided there is a willingness. It is in this depar**ent, that they scored 11/10. Right from serving my mother (who is 75+) at the villa for all her food servings (we had booked a meal inclusive package), customizing the requirement basis what we needed, though it was not on the menu at that point of time, it was all done extremely well, infact to the point of going out of their way. The common pool had water at normal temperature, a nice gym and a play area with snooker, pool, carrom, table tennis and chess. Overall, it was a nice trip for us, thanks to the excellent service and the wonderful property of Marriot in Coorg.

Visited Marriott Coorg this weekend, overall great experience but one staff member that I would specifically like to mention is Mr. Soorya. He's in the restaurant team. He went out of his way to ensure that we were having a good time. He is undoubtedly one of the best restaurant staff members I've seen! Just an appreciation post for him because he deserves it.

Excellent property for a family vacation. Barely an year old since it opened. Various room options are available. Family estate villa has two bedrooms, one living room and a balcony pool that is heated. Visited in April and during peak summer the daytime activities were best planned indoors in the kids play area, cafe, lobby, rooms and spa. But the evenings are very pleasant with a constant cool breeze. Food is delicious but be prepared for a bit of delay in getting the dishes. Kids play area has ball pit and various other toddler options in the ground floor and arcade games, foosball, air hockey, PS5s in the first floor (have to purchase tokens to play the games in first floor). A clean play area is located nearby. Evenings there is high tea/coffee with snacks and tambola activities (free for all resident guests) and later there is a story telling event around bonfire (the chair around bonfire lean forward due to incline of the land, wish it was a bit more comfortable). Mornings there is a nature walk activity in the neighbouring coffee estate. Drive from Bangalore will take around 5 hours and can be a bit tiring if you drive under the hot sun. So try to leave early morning and reach the resort early. You can request for early check in prior to arriving and the team will definitely do their best to accommodate your request. Else if the rooms are getting ready you can laze around in the lobby, gazebo sit out near the pool. If you have any special occasions or requests, you can certainly communicate it and Mr. Rak**** at front desk and their team will try and make the visit memorable. You get excellent deals for stay with bonvoy points if you are a Marriott Bonvoy member. All in all, an excellent vacation spot.
