The destination of Seychelles for many people will be that out-of-reach, far too expensive, paradise destination that can only be achieved as a once-in-a-lifetime experience such as a Honeymoon or anniversary present. Yet, by staying at Hanneman Holiday Residence, it doesn't have to be, as this property is probably Seychelles' best-kept secret and its most economical. Hanneman's location is ideally placed on the island. Just a short and easy 5-minute walk to one of the finest and most famous beaches in the entire Indian Ocean, Beau Vallon Beach. It is no problem that Hanneman's doesn't serve dinner or lunch, as there are dozens of some of Mahe's best eateries and takeaways just a walk away. But even then, if you fancy a night in your villa, they arrange a delicious local food delivery service on request. You can even cook your own barbeque! Breakfasts are optional but recommended as the chef cooks up a great start to the day and can make most things you ask for, from a fully cooked plate to delicious pancakes. The villas themselves are first-class for the tropics. We were a party of 5 (2 adults, 2 teenagers, and a 6 yr old) and had so much space in the duplex. The air conditioning and fans maintained the coolness needed and with a huge kitchen, open plan dining room and living room, three balconies, and two en suite bedrooms we never got in each other's way. I would recommend that you rent a car (again can be arranged through Hanneman's) and you can park securely right outside of your room. The pool is a good size and despite the residence being full at Easter time when we stayed, we were the only people in it for most of the time - it seemed like our own private pool. And that's the essence of Hanneman's, although there are a couple of penthouses and studios and four duplex's - the place is never crowded. The security is impeccable, with 24-hour security personnel (David and Joe are the night watchmen) and electronic keys to come in and out of the properties at all times. But although the facilities are more than one could ask for, it is the people (and kittens and turtles - more on that at the end) that make a place special. Hanneman's is run by the most affable, personable, friendly, and humourous guy you can imagine. Manfred, a former hotel manager himself, is on hand to offer advice or help with anything his guests need, whether it's administration enquiries or extra water for the room. It is well worth sitting down with him for a coffee or a glass of wine to listen to his stories of Seychelles and his experiences in life. He is backed up by Santale, who runs the property like clockwork in the relaxed manner that most guests would like on holiday. Add to them, their team of housekeepers who make the rooms immaculate each day, and their fantastic Chef make Hanneman's #1 in Mahe. We were really surprise after reading all the positive reviews to arrive in a appartement like that. It was old There was almost no light, only one window with a big useless furniture in front of it There was a lot of humidity with a terrible smell ABSOLUTELY NOT CLEAN ! (See the pictures) - the floor was covered with hair and dust, won't even talk about the corners - there was mold in the bathroom - the furniture and counters were filthy (I should have take the cleaning paper I used in picture 🤢) - all the equipment like microwave and toaster were probably never cleaned - there were dirty spots, hairs and one dead bug in the sheet 🤢 Owner adorable, good location, spacious appartement but clearly that all this place has, everything else is terrible, especially for 180€ /night ! We are glad we booked only one night, it was our last, what a last impression of the Seychelles...

Unsere Zeit in der Unterkunft war wirklich super. Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir herzlich empfangen, und das Personal war die ganze Zeit über extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders toll fand ich den Pool – er war sehr sauber und von der Größe genau richtig. Wir haben ihn jeden Tag genutzt und uns dort richtig wohl gefühlt. Ein Highlight war auch das Frühstück: Es gab frisches Obst, Toast, Eier nach Wunsch und leckere Pancakes – für jeden Geschmack war etwas dabei! Insgesamt ein richtig schöner Aufenthalt, den wir gerne weiterempfehlen!

Kleine Apartmentanlage in wunderschöner Umgebung, tolle Gastgeber, die jeden Wunsch erfüllt haben und bei der Planung und Organisation von Ausflügen behilflich waren. Die Beratung über die örtlichen Gegebenheiten war hervorragend. Das Apartment war voll ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und ließ nichts zu wünschen übrig.

Das Zimmer war zwar groß, aber leider in einem sehr verdreckten Zustand. Besonders die Eingangstür war schmutzig, was sofort einen schlechten ersten Eindruck hinterlassen hat. Die Klimaanlage hat unangenehm gerochen, wurde lange nicht gereinigt. Auch die Küchengeräte waren unbrauchbar – sie schienen entweder kaputt oder nicht richtig gereinigt worden zu sein. Das Frühstück war ebenso enttäuschend. Es wirkte lieblos zusammengestellt: Scheiblettenkäse, ungenießbarer Kaffee, Marmelade, vier Scheiben Toast und ein Früchte-Teller. Positiv war, dass man die Eier nach Wunsch bekommen hat, aber insgesamt war die Auswahl mager und der Geschmack ließ zu wünschen übrig. Leider kann ich die Unterkunft in diesem Zustand nicht empfehlen.

Bestes Guesthouse in dem soviel Liebe drinsteckt. Unser Gastgeber Manfred hat uns mit tollen Tipps versorgt. Strandtücher wurden uns zur Verfügung gestellt und auch gewechselt. Waschmaschine war auch vorhanden. Täglich wurde unser Appartement gereinigt. Große Küche mit allen notwendigen Utensilien. Auch war immer eine Bananenstaude zur Selbstbedienung mit anschließender Schalenverwertung für die Schildkröten vorhanden. Mieze Whitey „Mauz“ hat sich in unser Herz geschlichen. Auf den Punkt gebracht ein tolles geführtes Guesthouse mit familiären Charme zum Wohlfühlen
