ホテル キャッスル マンダワ(Hotel Castle Mandawa)

The property is beautiful but the rooms are very old and require renovation. This property has so much potential if they renovate and restore it. Even cleanliness and hygiene is not up to the mark. The staff of the property is good. We stayed here because I think this is the only decent option in that region.

It’s not surprising that this hotel has such wide ranging reviews. It is quirky. The entrance, reception and public rooms are excellent. The staff are very good. However it is let down by some pretty shabby elements in the rooms. As others have commented the very attractive looking pool is a magnet for pidgeons - scores of them - so a risky swim! In fairness I don’t know what they can do to stop this other than redesign the pool to take away the shallow waterfall much loved by the birds.

I agree with another reviewer who described the hotel as decadent. Needs urgent maintenance. The hotel photos are misleading. The bathroom in the room was dirty. We decided not to stay despite having the night paid. The manager offered us a free upgrade to another room that was less dirty, the bathroom was not perfect either, but if the rooms were not clean, we were concerned about how clean the food preparation could be. Beyond that Mandawa is not worth it. It was the first place we visited in India 12 days ago that we didn't find interesting and we didn't like it. Tip: don't waste time in Mandawa with all the wonderful things to see in India and if you decide to go, be prepared for a decadent hotel without enough cleanliness

Beautiful regal setting. Rooms were spacious but dated (possibly trying to create ambience) but some thought could have gone into more comfort . We have to respect this is a small village so there isn't much going on around the hotel. We went in February so could not appreciate the grounds and pool

The property is big with 90 rooms but it is has an appealing layout and is well maintained. We we were upgraded to a suite which was extremely comfortable and had all the modern amenities. The bathroom was neat and clean. The staff was efficient and attentive and the food was as per our liking - tasty without too much spice or oil.

We were at this place with huge group of friends for new year celebration ,exceptional arrangements were done by the staff… Staying at Mandawa castle was an amazing experience… must live moment…Food and stay both were awesome…Loved the heritage stay… it was all time royal stay .

Had an amazing experience in mandawa castle. Sudhir sir was really helpful and he explain the entire history of mandawa family in the most effective and efficient family. Would definitely love to visit again

We visited the property for food & a tour, but we cancelled our tour because of the rudeness of the staff & ended up with the worst experience in hospitality. The staff doesn’t even have the basic courtesy of how to talk, forget the word ‘service’. If minus rating was possible, I would have given that. The front office person spoke to us as if we were his subordinates. Service staff also lacked basic etiquette. Glad we were not staying there. Food was also bad. Very difficult location to reach too. Don’t waste your time & money for such a property 👎🏻

Stunning property, quirky, history, fabulous rooms, beautiful pool, beautiful gardens. However, little bit like faulty towers. We had no hot water in our bathroom for two days ended up having to move to another room despite multiple attempts which ended up with people banging pipes, knocking things around and then saying it worked but it didn’t. The restaurant was similar everything was friendly, but just a little bit chaotic, the wine was out of date and they didn’t understand when I said eight-year-old bottle of basic wine white wine was off instead (I’ve never returned a bottle of wine in my life) so it’s definitely off. It was discoloured!!
