キャプテン ピップス マリーナ & ハイダウェイ(Captain Pip's Marina & Hideaway)

Not the greatest time of year to do lot's of water stuff. Booked several sunset cruises and snorkeling trips but they were canceled at the last minute for not enough participation.

No hot water, windows had algae/mold which blocked the view. Otherwise clean, updated. Location was good.

This place is pretty beat up... we kind of felt like Captain Pip was putting lipstick on a pig. Not much of a beach to enjoy and a seriously foul smell coming from the water. (Maybe it's just that time of year - idk?) The neighbor's idling boat was noisy and filled the air with diesel fumes. Check in staff acted like they didn't want to be there - not rude, but not friendly. Towels were tattered and bed was mediocre. It's not much of a "resort" and they should not charge a "resort" fee. I guess I'd hoped for more because we paid almost $350 for 1-night. It's fine for being average - grade C. There's potential, but Captain could try a little harder for that price.

We loved the location, the room, the staff, the proximity to resturants, everything was great, but they really need to up grade their mattresses, my wife and I both had a hard time sleeping, the mattress was very lumpy. Also it would be nice if there was a chair in the room instead of the stools. The grounds were very clean, and quiet, we loved our room and decore, the room was clean and tidy when we check in, and there were plenty of ammenities and things to do on the grounds. Would recomend, and stay again, but hoping for new mattress'.

This property had everything you need! It’s clean, friendly, comfortable, lots of extras like bikes and kayaks. Great staff, location and would definitely stay there again.

For our quick drive through the Keys, we planned one night at Captain Pip's and really enjoyed all there was to do. We watched the sunset on Sombrero Beach, had drinks and appetizer at Porky's, enjoyed a very quiet night's sleep in Mermaid and took advantage of the free kayaks before leaving (very nice that we could still use the kayaks even after checking out of our room).

Great location, around really cool bars beautiful views I’m in heaven here, right before the seven mile Bridge walking distance to food, I would advise renting a car because you definitely need to travel south of here, 25 miles to key west and return back here or just stay in key west, we saw man of wars,shark, manatees, a little boy that caught 2 puffer fish, walked on the 7 mile bridge, walked 15000 steps today, great exercise, I’m in love with this area

Honest review. The place was fine. A little rough around the edges. Meaning, the coffee table in the living room area was about to fall over and the headboard on the bed was loose. The place just needs a handyperson to go around and tighten stuff up. Place was clean. Fridge was good. Stove was great. Really no complaints at all maybe just bring your screwdriver ;). Price was right the view was nice and there is a lot of stuff to do that I didn't take advantage of meaning the boating, kayaking, paddle boarding and snorkeling. If you want some watery adventure I'd definitely keep this on my list. I'd defintely consider staying here again... I'd just pack a screwdriver ;).

The apar**ents are in small, colorfull houses which makes a beautiful a**osphere. You can rent bikes, boats and kayaks. It‘s a short walk to the seven mile bridge. You can use bbq grills just outside of the House. Some renovations and utensils for cleaning dishes would make it perfect. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend!
