Having a great time at Skipjack Resort and Marina. While here having lunch they had someone doing trivia. Kevin was our trivia wiz. He was fantastic! I loved that having someone passing the time away on a beautiful sunny afternoon was awesome. Hoping to return again soon. We had a great time! Jay our bartender was amazing and having Entertainment was a plus.
Great location, beautiful and well kept facility, places to relax and places for kids to have fun. Restaurant on-site is fantastic and views from the marina are serine. Room was excellent and had more than expected. Close to restaurants, groceries and many other things.
I'll just add to the many positive reviews here that this is a wonderful property and a wonderful stay. This is an older property, well-maintained, full of charm and character. The tiki bar is terrific (good drinks), local beers, and entertainment on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and weekend I believe. The Taco truck (La Isla Taco Grill ) on-site (11-8 most days) is frequented by many locals, including law enforcement, and the food is excellent, reasonable, and fast. Flan is very good as well. Keys News and Coffee is a 3-4minute drive, recommended! One important note: This property uses duve.com for automated check-in, so be prepared to upload your drivers license and credit card for check-in. Only negative in an otherwise terrific stay. Other important note: NOT A BEACH RESORT. They do not advertise as one, but Sombrero Beach is 3-4 minutes away. Also there is a dog park and fishing area at Marathon Park on 98th Street.
This property is approximately 1 hr from Key West. Check in is handled remotely, works very well and we found the 2 night stay met our needs at a reasonable cost. A restaurant is within walking distance, (we did not use but there were good reviews posted online). A short drive from the property provides multiple restaurant choices.
SSusanneD2878We usually stay at a Hilton Hotel and since we had our teenager with us, I wanted a place with free breakfast. This Hampton needs to give lessons to all hotels around the world on how to keep a hotel clean, staffed with friendly employees, and overall perfectly meeting all our family needs. Including room service from I assume the yummy restaurant next door. The breakfast was great, the decor details makes you feel welcome and the front desk was always accommodating. Plus, the hotel has a little mid-century vibe. Loved it!
ゲゲストFamily trip. Visiting several places in Florida. Headed to keys and needed a good place to use as a base to head out. Booked 2 rooms. This place is a hidden gem. Clean room. Tile floor. Very spacious. Good shower. Owner Mark, I believe was very accommodating and helpful. Not the grand Hilton but worth every dollar. We had a roku TV in room which was a little frustrating but came in late each day and didn't watch much. Typical wall unit ac and adequate to cool room off. Several rvs in other side of lot but rv'ers are usually very respectful and no issues at all concerning hotel. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again. Thx Bonefish bay!
This was the first time my husband and I have been to the Keys. Our stay at Gulf View was so much fun. This place is awesome. The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. It is convenient to anything you would want to do while visiting the Keys yet so peaceful and relaxing that after a busy day of sightseeing or fishing or whatever, you are glad to get back to your room. We enjoyed the hotel so much we actually spent a whole day there without going anywhere else at all. With a very nice pool, hammocks, grills, kayaks etc... The staff here is amazing! Jen is truly one of the kindest people you will ever meet and very knowledgeable about the area. My husband and I are planning on going back to the Keys and I can't imagine staying anywhere other than Gulf View Waterfront Resort!
CCynthia AnnI had read the reviews for this hotel on several websites before booking and decided to go with them because they were all good. This was my 60th birthday trip and when we got there this place looked just like their website. Beautiful Old style like you’ll never get to experience ever again.
We got a room upgrade to room on the Water. Room #1. There’s nothing fancy about them, but I think that’s what adds to the charm of the hotel but everything in the room is nice, comfortable, clean and works. Patio leads right outside to the water where you can sit on your deck or walk along the pier and look at the boats, we had a boat docked in front of our room. I loved watching the people getting ready to go out. I joked and told them I was happy letting them borrow my boat for the day. We enjoyed our daily Pelican visitors who sat on the post every evening and we enjoyed the Rooster every morning when we sat outside enjoying our ice tea. The pool is very nice, I dipped my foot in and it was a little chilly. The beach area wasn’t much of a beach in my opinion. But it still adds to the charm. Lisa and Tammy were very nice and friendly and we had no problems checking in or any issues whatsoever with our stay. There is a food truck on site we ate at 1st night, because we drove all day and it was real foggy by the time we were going to leave to go eat in Marathon. I had the Crab pizza and Brian had the Ham pizza. $15.00 each and big for one person if your hungry. I didn’t eat all of mine. lol. But very good. The hotel just changed ownership and are doing upgrades and some renovations, so at times while we were there it was a little noisy but nothing we couldn’t deal with. We will definitely stay here again when we go back to the Keys. Because you’re not going to get this Old Style feel staying right on the water for much longer any where else especially for these prices. Pictures our from the deck of our room and one is of our baby sleeping on the comfy bed. Conch Key 🌴.
