Stayed for 3 nights at the end of our trip. The property is truly lovely, the room and beds were comfortable. And it’s a reasonable distance to Jemaa el-Fnaa, the main square (15-20 min walk). Dinner was reasonably priced and they were kind to accommodate us without much notice, but it was in the end just a really forgettable tagine. The sodas we had by the pool each day after exploring the city were nice and cold, and the pool area is a great place to relax. So why only 3 stars? Because the staff were so rude. Very little English is spoken by the staff - really only the manager - and there was no attempt by anyone else to try. I understand we’re travelers in a foreign country, but if you run a hotel that caters to tourists, learning a few basic phrases would be helpful. For example, our driver called to have someone meet the van and provide directions and help with the bags, and the manager couldn’t speak to him in Arabic. She asked for French, and since that’s not his strength, they settled for English. That got it done, but you’d think someone at a hotel in Morocco could speak at least some Arabic. The staff on our departure did not know the word for suitcase, nor luggage. Even “bags” got me a blank look. We also found ourselves having to hunt for someone to supply the drinks. Sure, they have a bar, but no one to work the bar. I can’t imagine if you needed a taxi or other help. Our check-in was also difficult, since the staff person didn’t speak enough English to help fill out the traveler card. Everywhere else we stayed, we handed over our passports and they took care of everything. Here, we tried to muddle through, then when the manager finally came back after taking a lengthy phone call, she rushed us through the rest of the (of course incorrect) paperwork and the welcome instructions (how to work the a/c, etc) and admonished us not to leave henna on the linens and to always turn out the lights. Not exactly the warm service we hoped for - and got everywhere else we stayed!

A great location, extremely helpful staff. The Riad had beautiful traditional furniture and decorative finishes throughout. The pool and pool beds were an added benefit. Lovely food by the pool. Would definitely stay here when I am next in Marrakesh.

Fantastic Riad, super quiet and yet you’re only around the corner from the souks. Staff are amazing, they look after you well and don’t ask for anything in return but good to leave a little tip at the end of your trip. Rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. I would highly recommend

The Riad Chergui is truly a gem. It is elegant, comfortable and welcoming. The staff is friendly and accommodating. It is located near restaurants and the inner alleys of the old medina. There is a fantastic roof top lounge area where you can gather for a beverage in the evening. Abdul served us breakfast in the morning and could not have been more kind and attentive. This is one place you can find peace in a city that can be overwhelming at times.

Due to this belated review it shows how memorable our experience in Riad Chergui was. Everything was serene. The food was fresh and tasty, the ambience was very relaxing and the clenliness was great. Many thanks to Emanuelle, and her wonderful parents. And yes Abdul, we did enjoy. So long and thanks for the frites.

This Riad is just incredible. I have stayed in so many hotels/air bnbs etc. But this Riad tops them all. The interior is so so beautiful. It is so full of bliss and quiet, such a difference from the busy streets which are on the doorstep. This is the perfect location for restaurants and nipping into the souks/medina. The most beautiful and warm hearted host and staff. Nothing is too much. I honestly had the most amazing time away. We will be back very soon!

Behind an antique door is a road encompassing a series of courtyards. One has a pool, another orange trees and cascading jasmine. Private massages are offered. The dining room looks out on both courtyards. Breakfasts are generous. Our rooms were lovely.

This Riad was far superior to the first one we stayed at in Marrakech. From the attentive staff to a beautiful room on the upper floor overlooking one of the courtyards, we could not have been happier. The air conditioning was quiet, the bed large and comfortable and the linens crisp and luxurious. The breakfast is generous and freshly baked. We would definitely return.

Wow Wow Wow! This hotel absolutely blew me away and was probably the best hotel I’ve stayed in. It’s in the middle of the medina but you would honestly think your in the middle of nowhere, all you can hear is the birds in there. It’s beautiful. The breakfast is amazing, I was excited every morning to see what was on the table. Location is perfect, you will get lost a few times in the maze of the medina but it makes it more fun! The rooms are lovely and spacious and really well equipped. I will and have recommended this hotel to everyone I know. 10/10 in everything x
