Unacceptable! The hotel does not have an elevator, nor staff to help with luggage; the bed is 30 centimeters from the wall, even though the room is large; every evening it was necessary to reactivate the electronic card to access the room; the lamp on the desk has no switch; the shower is in the tub with uncomfortable and slippery access; it is very far from the center and therefore not recommended for tourists. Inacceptable! L'hôtel ne dispose pas d'ascenseur, ni de personnel pour vous aider à porter vos bagages ; le lit est à 30 centimètres du mur, même si la pièce est grande ; chaque soir il fallait réactiver la carte électronique pour accéder à la chambre ; la lampe sur le bureau n'a pas d'interrupteur ; la douche est dans la baignoire avec un accès inconfortable et glissant ; il est très loin du centre et donc déconseillé aux touristes. Inaccettabile! L' albergo non ha l' ascensore, né personale che aiuti con i bagagli; il letto è a 30 centimetri dal muro, nonostante la camera sia ampia; ogni sera è stato necessario riattivare la scheda elettronica per accedere alla camera; la lampada sulla scrivania non ha l'interruttore; la doccia è nella vasca con accesso scomodo e scivoloso; è molto lontano dal centro e quindi sconsigliato ai turisti.

The reception and rooms were fine but we have just had possibly one of the worst meals ever. Truly shocking good for France. Hardly any service, we think the waitress was cooking the meals or microwaving them. Such a shame as this hotel has been fine in the past.

Stayed en route from Provence to Calais with my mother and teenage kids. Check in was quick and friendly, although on opening our door we found someone else already in our room ….I did a bit of a double take when I saw cases and clothes hanging on chairs etc but this was quickly sorted out by the reception team and we were given another room a couple of doors down. The kids swam in the pool while we had a G&T on the terrace. We’d booked half board so had dinner in the hotel which was a buffet service. I had not been looking forward to this as last year the food was not great but this year there was a huge improvement both in what was on offer and the quality of the team. The desserts were very nice indeed. Our waiter was really helpful regarding drinks choices and was happy to chat football with my sons. We had a good night’s sleep followed by a buffet breakfast with again a lot of choice. Parking is free and there’s plenty of it and the hotel is next to a petrol station and 2 mins from an E Leclerc hypermarket - although on this occasion it was closed as it was a bank holiday (15th August). I am sure we’ll be back on our next trip to France.

Not very clean, not very good, staff very rude. Parking is on site and reasonably good. Should get a welcome drink as a gold member, no drink was provided and staff ignored me when I stood at the desk waiting to ask if I would be provided with a drink. After about three minutes I said excuse me please and the staff member replied I am busy you can wait. I didn’t wait, I left Will not be returning

Very good customer service team at arrival. Also we liked breakfast and in general the child friendly setting.

This was the first hotel we stayed in France (after coming from Geneva, Switzerland). The location of the hotel was quite out of the way, with no nearby shopping mall or eateries. There's a petrol kiosk with a small convenience store and KFC was about 15mins walk away and all others were industrial or commercial shops or plant nurseries. The hotel has a nice and big lobby though, cosy and relaxing with many nice decors at the side, like a huge teddy bear etc. And there is no formal checkin counter and staff just sat at an open table to work. That's cool. Our room was 281, deep inside the building from the lobby and needed to take a flight of stairs up. But do note that there is no lift in the hotel! We have been foretold by our tour leader and packed a simple handcarry bags while leaving our trolley luggages in our coach and so there's no problem for us. But we saw other guests, having some difficult time in moving their luggages up the stairs! Our room was nice and cosy and cleaned. Beds were comfortable and we had a good rest. What we liked was the separation between the toilet and the bathroom. The TV had limited channels too, unlike the others with International channels like NHK, Phoenix or CCTV etc, mostly French and a couple of standard BBC/CNN channels, that's all. The restaurant was spacious and nice, and the breakfast spread was generally good. Foods were nice too. Staff were friendly and efficient in clearing used tables but food refill was a little slow. Overall, we felt it should receive a 3.5 star rating taking into consideration all the factors. But since we cannot give a 0.5 rating and feel that it has not reached the 4-star rating, so we decided to award it a 3-star.

Definitely not 4 star. Sub standard, cramped rooms.

Super friendly staff - couldn’t have been any nicer. The rooms are clean and comfortable and exactly what you would expect from a chain hotel. The only thing that lets it down - and it lets it down BADLY to the extend we wouldn’t stay here again is that the food is appalling. You have no choice in this area but to eat at the hotel and sadly it is dire.

Handy location just off the main Toll Road, staff were helpful but this is a very very tired Hotel with a dreadful smell in the corridors !

We stay every August on the way back from Provence so it was interesting to see the hotel in April when it was not so busy. Our room was on the first floor facing the carpark and it was clean and comfortable. The WiFi worked and was free. We had a drink in the bar before dinner. You book reservations for dinner on line using a QR code which was very easy. In summer the hotel runs a buffet dinner service due to the number of diners so we were pleased to find that table service had resumed for the rest of the year. The food was very tasty and although a bit rushed off their feet, the staff were great and really friendly. There were a couple of trainees (presumably for the start of the Easter holiday period) and a couple of coach parties arrived during dinner which made things a bit challenging. Breakfast was great with a lot of choice. We look forward to returning later this year.

Spent 3 nights here in March and after reading previous reviews my expectations were low The hotel is not perfect but the poor reviews were wrong Lets start with what was not good: Location - Dijon has an excellent light-rail network. This hotel is far from the nearest light-rail station. From the bus stop opposite the hotel it takes over ten minutes to the nearest station, which is also very far from the city center. Its a large sprawling hotel - my room was a two minute walk from the dining room - there are three floors and no elevators The gym was an almost pleasant surprise. I didn’t see it advertised, so was very happy when I found it existed. Woke early planning a good run on the treadmill. The treadmill is dead. Did stationary bike instead… The shower -bath combination is not good. You need to stand right up against the head of the bath cos the water pressure is so weak, yet somehow you cannot avoid drenching the floor due to one of those half-wall shower windows that simply don’t contain the splash Now the good things Breakfast - excellent! The layout and choice of hard or lounge chairs is great. The selection and quality of foods is very good. Staff helpful and friendly. The coffee machine delivers a goods selection of great coffee. Pancake machine quick and good. The management may want to take some friendly advice and change the softly shrieking 50’s jazz music in the dining room for something a little more neutral. The hotel is spotlessly clean in the rooms and in the public areas The towels are thick and heavy and really clean The staff are unobtrusively friendly and helpful Everything you may need is there - comfortable beds with extra pillows on the shelf. Good free user-friendly wifi. Good quality large flat screen tv with good selection of channels (With good wifi who needs a tv anyway) Small fridge in the room that works AC unable to comment - didn’t need to use There are scattered tables in all the corridors with coldwater dispensers and free high quality coffee machines and fruit baskets. One gets the impression that hotel is trying to go the extra mile to ensure your satisfaction - what more could you ask for?

Passing through to The Alps, the room was cramped and tired-looking. We were surprised to read there had been a renovation in 2019! Surely, no modern bathroom does not have a toilet?! Doors required slamming to close and furniture was being moved in the room above from 08.00 hrs onwards. Very noisy! Restaurant meal was of very average quality. Over-cooked pasta was inedible. On the plus side all staff inc the receptionist, bar-staff and restaurant waiters/waitresses were charming and trying their best in a very dated, tired hotel.

Just 10 mins of the autoroute with outside parking ideal if you have a roof box or skis rack. The rooms are pretty decent and the staff very friendly. The food is disappointing. Dinner was average but there is a nice bar area.

The hotel was shabby, dirty and well below standards for a Novotel. The evening meal was a disaster. I honestly couldn't believe I was in France. I paid for four meals and they were all bad. A really horrible buffet. Like school dinners.
