I was looking for a comfortable airport hotel to rest after a long flight and wait for my wife to join me the next day. Glad I chose this hotel for a number of reasons. The shuttle service was quick and efficient. They recognized my Hilton status, gave me a room upgrade and allowed me to check in a couple hours early which was great. The room was very comfortable and obviously had just been updated, unlike most of the other airport hotels that seem to be older. It was also surprisingly quiet, with a beautiful garden and surroundings that made me forget we were so close to the airport. I barely heard any noise and I believe the flight path makes the planes land and take off on the other side of the airport. There is also a lovely wetlands preserve right next to the hotel. The path is a bit hard to find but it's just a few feet before the entrance to the Ibis. I had nice morning run and evening stroll around the lake, something I never expected for an airport hotel. I had lunch and dinner at the restaurant and it was pretty good, though the lunch menu is extremely limited and they had nothing for vegetarians so I had to convince them to make me something off menu which they did. Dinner had a bigger menu and a couple of vegetarian choices. Food was tasty and they had a decent wine and beer menu. Prices were pretty reasonable for a hotel restaurant. Breakfast the next morning was a small buffet that covered all the basics, with freshly baked breads and pastries as one would expect in France. The service level of every person I dealt with was high. Usually airport hotel staff are rude and unhelpful but these guys were great. I will note however that the other reviews that mentioned no ventilation in the rooms were correct at least when I was there. I actually called the hotel the day before I arrived because I hate hot rooms and the receptionist assured me that the AC system was on but when I got there that wasn't the case. Not sure whether it's a technical limitation of their system or an attempt to save money but the room thermostats do nothing at this time of year. However it turned out the weather was perfect and the window could be cracked to get some fresh air so it was a non-issue for me and I was comfortable. just something to be aware of if you come on hot day and they still don't have a working AC system. All in all this place exceeded my expectations for an airport hotel and was the perfect choice for me.
On our trip to Provence, we spent 3 nights at the Moxy. The hotel is located on the outskirts of La Ciotat in a newly built complex with various restaurants, bars and cinema. It is also ideally located for excursions to Cassis or Marseille. The very friendly staff invited us to a welcome drink. This can also be upgraded with snacks. At the Moxy, the design and practicality is always there. This applies to the lobby (incl. table football), the reading room or also the room. We spent the three nights in a family room with enough space and comfort. The tea and coffee maker were included. The breakfast is simple, but quite ok. Unfortunately, we could not use the roof top swimming pool. All in all, a very modern and well-maintained hotel, highly recommended.

Location wise the hotel is just two or three minutes walk from the Colbert Metro Station or maybe 14 minutes walk from the main St Charles railway station. It is also only about five to seven minutes walk from the main tourist area down by the port. Obviously not the fault of the hotel but the street it is on it heavy with graffiti, there was smell of urine and hobos sleeping nearby. That might sound nasty, but it's just a fact. Check-in was simple and quick and the lobby is OK if you like looking at a piano covered in faux graffiti. All rather tacky and blingy looking. Bedroom was OK if you like decor in purple and vinyl light blue covered chairs in your room. No proper desk for computer use although you can use a small table and stool. Wifi connection was good. Air-conditioning worked. Bathroom acceptable although the 'open' toilet brush holder could surely be improved upon. Hairdryer provided but you can't use it in the bathroom as there is no plug point for a hair dryer. It can however be used in the hallway. Carpet was dirty. I thought at first it was maybe just our room but upon stepping out into the corridor there was dirt and dust everywhere, especially along the sides by the skirting boards. The cleaners main corridor door was often left open letting guests see inside the cleaners store room area. Breakfast was good. In fact, most of it was better than good. Comprehensive selection of breads and croissants/pastries, cheeses, hams, fruit, yoghurt, cereals, coffee machines and scrambled egg. The fallafel was also a great thing which I hadn't expected. Not so good were the burnt sausages and the very fatty/oily streaky bacon each morning. But overall, a good variety and enjoyable. Would we return? Probably not. The hotel really needs to do something to clean the carpets in the corridors properly and to get new toilet brush holders in the rooms. Very off-putting.
MMair DStayed in this hotel in June 22. Have to admit that my first impression was student halls but we adapted well. The apartment was small but very clean. We had one bedroom but only big enough to house twin beds and a bedside table and a lamp. The beds were very comfortable. There was a separate toilet and a small bathroom with a over bath shower. I first thought that the bath was not clean but it was just here the enamel had worn away. There was a small kitchenette with cooker, fridge and dishwasher. We didn’t use it except for tea and coffee as we had B&B which was good the lady in the dining room was very friendly and was happy to help. We ate out for dinner. There is a table and chairs and a sofa bed in the living area plus a tv. The balcony was big and facing the sea which was nice with lovely views over the bay. There were patio table and chairs. If you are staying less than 8 days you won’t get room service but will provide it at an extra cost. There is a free safe deposit in all rooms. I think this is because of covid. There is free WiFi and a safety deposit box. There is no hairdryer in the rooms but you can get one from reception at no cost if you ask. Reception were ok but didn’t speak much English but we were in France after all so got by. The pool is small but nice the only thing is that there is no seating around the pool. Most people were just sitting on the decking on towels. The hotel is just 5 minutes from the beach. The only thing is that it was not Sandy but stony and gritty not good for making sand castles. There are no sun beds or parasols to hire, and very little shade. There is a Sandy beach further down the bay about 10 mins walk. There are restaurants close by but also more on the Sandy beach which is lovely. Also a good supermarket near too. You can get a bus into the city on the road next to the hotel the No 83 is €2 per person each way along the coast to the marina. I have to say that the external walls of the hotel need to be tidied up they look very tired. A lick of paint is needed badly, and maybe the rooms brought up to date a little. Maybe the hotel group could invest some funds into doing this. All in all we had a good stay but it could have been better. Thank you to all staff the made our stay comfortable.
