Stayed here for rugby World Cup last week and disappointed for the price. Stayed 4 days and on the first day reported that a curtain was missing from my room meaning not only could anyone passing by see into my room but the lights from the stadium and the restaurant opposite were blazing straight into my bed resulting in zero sleep. This wasn’t remedied until day 3. Also the shower cubicle leaked everywhere meaning the floor was dangerously slippery and had to be lined with towels before taking a shower. Breakfast didn’t cater for international tastes the way other chains do, it was purely French and not labelled so you were unsure if you were choosing yogurt, soft cheese or cream. Prices were very high €10 for a beer. Positives are it is very close to the stadium and the metro which is good. Staff very friendly, particularly the bar staff

Stayed in this hotel in June 22. Have to admit that my first impression was student halls but we adapted well. The apartment was small but very clean. We had one bedroom but only big enough to house twin beds and a bedside table and a lamp. The beds were very comfortable. There was a separate toilet and a small bathroom with a over bath shower. I first thought that the bath was not clean but it was just here the enamel had worn away. There was a small kitchenette with cooker, fridge and dishwasher. We didn’t use it except for tea and coffee as we had B&B which was good the lady in the dining room was very friendly and was happy to help. We ate out for dinner. There is a table and chairs and a sofa bed in the living area plus a tv. The balcony was big and facing the sea which was nice with lovely views over the bay. There were patio table and chairs. If you are staying less than 8 days you won’t get room service but will provide it at an extra cost. There is a free safe deposit in all rooms. I think this is because of covid. There is free WiFi and a safety deposit box. There is no hairdryer in the rooms but you can get one from reception at no cost if you ask. Reception were ok but didn’t speak much English but we were in France after all so got by. The pool is small but nice the only thing is that there is no seating around the pool. Most people were just sitting on the decking on towels. The hotel is just 5 minutes from the beach. The only thing is that it was not Sandy but stony and gritty not good for making sand castles. There are no sun beds or parasols to hire, and very little shade. There is a Sandy beach further down the bay about 10 mins walk. There are restaurants close by but also more on the Sandy beach which is lovely. Also a good supermarket near too. You can get a bus into the city on the road next to the hotel the No 83 is €2 per person each way along the coast to the marina. I have to say that the external walls of the hotel need to be tidied up they look very tired. A lick of paint is needed badly, and maybe the rooms brought up to date a little. Maybe the hotel group could invest some funds into doing this. All in all we had a good stay but it could have been better. Thank you to all staff the made our stay comfortable.
ゲゲストLocation wise the hotel is just two or three minutes walk from the Colbert Metro Station or maybe 14 minutes walk from the main St Charles railway station. It is also only about five to seven minutes walk from the main tourist area down by the port. Obviously not the fault of the hotel but the street it is on it heavy with graffiti, there was smell of urine and hobos sleeping nearby. That might sound nasty, but it's just a fact. Check-in was simple and quick and the lobby is OK if you like looking at a piano covered in faux graffiti. All rather tacky and blingy looking. Bedroom was OK if you like decor in purple and vinyl light blue covered chairs in your room. No proper desk for computer use although you can use a small table and stool. Wifi connection was good. Air-conditioning worked. Bathroom acceptable although the 'open' toilet brush holder could surely be improved upon. Hairdryer provided but you can't use it in the bathroom as there is no plug point for a hair dryer. It can however be used in the hallway. Carpet was dirty. I thought at first it was maybe just our room but upon stepping out into the corridor there was dirt and dust everywhere, especially along the sides by the skirting boards. The cleaners main corridor door was often left open letting guests see inside the cleaners store room area. Breakfast was good. In fact, most of it was better than good. Comprehensive selection of breads and croissants/pastries, cheeses, hams, fruit, yoghurt, cereals, coffee machines and scrambled egg. The fallafel was also a great thing which I hadn't expected. Not so good were the burnt sausages and the very fatty/oily streaky bacon each morning. But overall, a good variety and enjoyable. Would we return? Probably not. The hotel really needs to do something to clean the carpets in the corridors properly and to get new toilet brush holders in the rooms. Very off-putting.
This will be a full review. First off the hotel is near a Metro station and near a “Gare” so a high speed train or metro is 5-15 minutes away by walk. The area of the hotel was fairly dirty, and classically smelled of sewers but that is just how France is sometimes. The check in process was great, they answered all our questions, were very knowledgeable and between both of them spoke very good French and English. It was explained to us that there would be no one entering our suite to clean during our stay. Alright. Not a huge issue but would have been nice. It can be done by request but I presume for a fee. (Will explain the snark later) Entering our room, it was bigger than our room was in Paris. It had a normal hotel size TV with decent channels. We had booked a double bed which was actually just two single beds. Unfortunately they didn’t even have a sheet between the mattress cover and the comforter. This is an issue because the A/C doesn’t work at all and leads to the window being open all night. There are mosquitos and we got bugged very often by them. But it was too warm in the room to close the window and the comforter was too warm to have on all the way. This led to some really poor sleeps. They do have a kitchenette which was decent but note that it only has enough plates and cutlery for 2 people. The bathroom was alright, fairly clean. They only left us 1 toilet paper roll which they again don’t come in your room to refill. They gave two towels, two face towels and a bath mat, fairly standard. It also had a great towel warmer which was a nice perk. Unfortunately we wanted new towels halfway through our stay and we’re told we had to pay extra for new towels! What the heck. That’s just BS. The shower was crap. Hot water only stayed on for a few minutes at most if you were lucky. The shower head is fine but the shower is designed in such a way, with no shower curtain just a 1/3 glass pane that water just spills all over the bathroom. You have to hold the shower head the whole time making it difficult to enjoy your shower. So we decided to wash our towels ourselves and some clothes as we are on a longer vacation. We had to buy our own soap, no problem with that. But the washing machine had a wash time of 40 minutes . We went down 40 minutes later and there was still 20 minutes on the timer. Not just that, but the clothes drier was broken and clearly had been for ages. So instead we had to drape our wet clothes across our room to dry everything. This was my first time staying at an adagio aparthotel. Had things been a little more standard and complimentary and well thought out for 200$ CAD a night, I would consider staying again but save yourself the trouble and pay a little more for a nicer place.
