マタラ ディミトリス ヴィラ(Matala Dimitris Resort)

The owner was arrogant and a bully.He kept hounding me to do things which had already been sorted… threatened me with police ……as I see in other reviews, he seems to do quite a lot. The receptionist was not fit for purpose. The Room totally out dated and unfit to have 2 adults and a child with just 2 single beds. Left after 4 days despite being booked for 7. Poor breakfast…. ….. δεν πειράζει …… everywhere else in Crete had been fantastic His reply on his own website review insinuated I was taking *****!!!! I’m a 61 yr old with COPD and do not smoke. I’m out here recovering from long covid and have been Joined with family.!!! Houstoulakis Dimitri - the Hotel Owner seems to be those on another planet!!!

Simple, safe, affordable and great location. I also found it charming. If you aren’t looking for a Ritz experience, just a nice place to stay in Matala, then I say go for it. We were pleasantly surprised and will stay here again.

Stayed at hotel in April, during shoulder season. Wonderfully quiet, tucked back off Main Street, but walking distance to Matala Beach. Older, small hotel, with all rooms having a door and window facing the outside, which we appreciated, for sunlight and fresh air. Though simple and dated, the room was comfortable and clean. Still early and chilly for swimming in the pool and the ocean, but we knew that would be the case. Nice Greek breakfast buffet served by staff. Try the mountain tea. Staff were wonderfully friendly and professional, making our stay enjoyable. We recommend short visits to the archaeological sites of Phaestos Palace and Gortyna European Law Code (and Temples of Egyptian and Apollo) in the earlymornings, then spending the afternoons at the beach.

Simple, clean rooms. Super friendly staff. 5 minutes walk to the beach.

Very good hotel

Très charmant espace de réception hôtelier avec un très joli cadre. Nous avons apprécié l'accueil, les excellents moritos au bord de la piscine. La chambre, (un brin désuète mais cela reste un détail) est propre, calme et confortable. L'accès à la plage se fait facilement à pied. Tout cela est disponible pour un prix très raisonnable.

Super Hotel und super Personal. Einfach toll. Wenig unnötiger Luxus. Mehr Sauberkeit, Menschlichkeit, Ruhe, Wohl fühl Gefühl und gutes Frühstück. Das Personal bemüht sich sehr um die Gäste. Sie sind sehr freundlich. Auch zu denen, denen man nie recht machen kann.

Bel hôtel familial. Bon accueil et disponibilité de Dimitri. On apprécie le calme sur la terrasse au petit déjeuner ainsi que la possibilité de se rafraîchir dans la piscine avec souvent peu de monde voir personne : appréciable par rapport aux grands complexes. Très bon rapport qualité prix. La salle de bains serait certes à rénover, mais le prix ne serait pê plus aussi compétitif... Hôtel à 500m de la plage. Parking privé.

petit hôtel familial parfaitement tenu en alternance par le fils et la sœur. le cadre est très reposant avec un petit bâtiment pour les 15 chambres sous une tonnelle qui déborde de jasmin et de fleurs. A cote la très belle piscine qui incite au farniente et où les oiseaux sauvages viennent boire plus la terrasse du petit déjeuner juste en face très agréable avec buffet complet bien pourvu en produits cultives par la famille elle même. les olives du grand père ,le yogourt de brebis frais , un délice avec du miel. . bref ,cet hôtel est idéal pour un séjour reposant dans un environnement verdoyant avec des propriétaires serviables et accueillants toujours disponibles pour quoi que ce soit.
