Merrymoor Inn

Not the best experience, after the server dropped a pot of salsa into my wife’s lap he showed very little concern and can’t even remember any apology. It was the waitresses that helped my wife providing a wet cloth and tissues and apologised which really should have come from the waiter. Whether he was having a bad day or not I would say his customer service left a little to be desired given the role is a customer facing.

Lovely food- fabulous views- even understood basics of sign language. Would definitely recommend this venue. Wonderful friendly staff who were eager to please and chat. Will visit again and enjoy the atmosphere

Great location, good value cooked breakfast - ideal after a wet and windy beach walk! Love that they allowed our dog inside. More characters needed so I'm adding more characters by writing this and this.

Our third visit of 2023! Still so welcoming from the moment we walked through the door. Lovely welcome from Nick the landlord. Room so clean, and with a great view out to sea. Fabulous stay as always, very doggy friendly! Breakfast was superb every morning. So well looked after. Evening meals very good sized portions, fresh and tasty. Will be back again next year. Cannot recommend highly enough. Whenever you go to this part of Cornwall the Merrymoor is the place to visit. Thank you all xx

Nice seating area outside and dogs welcome apart from the barmaid who pulled our pints staff were disinterested , food arrived asked for salt & pepper which I would of thought waitress would of brought out with meals and she said it’s inside so husband waited to eat while I walked through garden into pub and through bar obvious solution is for staff to bring condiments and a range of sauces on tray with food or have a condiment station outside. Felt portions were small for inflated prices for lunchtime pub food , chips Nice but burger mediocre for cost

Great views, food and drink. Lovely place to stay. Rooms have recently been decorated and are nicely furnished and comfortable. Great breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. Staff all friendly and helpful.

Very pleasantly surprised. Great modern clean room with a good selection of tea and coffee in the room. The Sunday carvery was excellent and all the staff friendly and helpful. I had the most amazing bacon bap made for me as a takeaway as I didn't have time for breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Everything about The Merrymoor is FANTASTIC. Accommodation, rooms, food, staff, location. Rooms spotless and have all you need. Food delicious (breakfast and evening meals). Staff SUPER SUPER friendly, helpful, and professional...also soooo hardworking. Location IDEAL JUST across the road from the beach. Love. It.
