The staff were fantastic! The room had everything we needed. I would recommend it to others traveling to Medellin.

Nice set up and location, but one of the worst service experiences ever had in a five star hotel. No response to multiple transport and concierge emails in advance, eight calls for s standard housekeeping service and fresh towels required, half of the basic needs not in the room when arrived - the team seems to be completely oberstrained. Even though the rooms and the hotel itself is nice, definitely not a hotel we can recommend!

Don’t stay here unless you want to be tricked into an upcharge and limited as to what they allow as far as guests. Security is too ridiculous save time and money by getting an AirBnB

I did the pre check on the app 24 hours before arrival. Stated we would check in around 1pm we got to the facility around 130ish our room was not ready til almost 4pm (which was 1 hour past their standard check in). We paid for the deluxe room which I expected at least a fridge and microwave which was not available.
The front desk did give us access to the executive lounge which was nice. However we did encounter a rather aggressive worker who snapped at my husband when he was using the self service cappuccino machine incorrectly.
The room was overall nice spacious bedding was comfortable bathroom clean. The tv was a little hard to figure out as well as room service. There was no menu available physically you had to go on the tv to scan a code to pull up the menu. The phones in the room were a little hard to figure out. It was also a hit and miss if I got a good English speaking person on the phone. But I wouldn’t knock them on stars for that since I’m in a Spanish speaking country.
What I was a little disappointed in was that this is the Marriot in a big financial district of Medellín and they did not offer money exchange. I stayed at the holiday inn in another city of Colombia and they had that available.
The pool location itself was nice but we took a night swim with our kids and there was no staff to get towels. There was also no spa even though the pool was heated.
Lastly minuscule inconvenience is the limited dining. And the location of the hotel

The service was very slow, we asked for pizza and coca cola, pizza was delivered an hour and a half later, the drink never arrived, during breakfast same, they take to much time to deliver the eggs. in the pool, we requested ice, and took a good half an hour to arrive, the same as the pool towel took almost 1 hour to get it. apart from that our stay was really good
