Very central location, close to the cathedral, city centre and shops. However, rooms are big but a bit tired. Need renovation. One tiny elevator between reception and three bed room floors asks you to provide a lot of patience …. Staff very friendly

Room was good, sofa bed was surprisingly good, felt like a proper bed unlike the flimsy ones you get elsewhere. The location of the hotel is very good, right in the city centre and easy walk to most places you'd want to visit. Convenient parking underneath the hotel. The two negatives are the poor, dated condition of the rooms and the poor air con that didn't seem to make much of a difference whether it was on or off. Overall, the location makes this a decent choice for a short stay but rooms need refurbishment and better maintenance.

We just arrived and, even before we entered the room, a urine smell took place, so we asked to change the room (reception prompt attended, very professional). Even during the first day, looking in the surrounding of the restaurant, we saw a mouse running around. I saw a second mouse in the second day. We showed the mouse (!!) to one of the staff from the restaurant and she did not even pay attention. Looks something normal for them apparently. Breakfast was... poor, compared to Novotel in Luxembourg (we were there 5 days ago). Bathroom had some mold, under the windows some painting was peeling off. Staff was normal to bad - exception was one lady which said a really nice "good morning" every day. Recommend this hotel? I don't think so. If you have an alternative, keep with it.

Absolutely stunning hotel modern French design. Location even better. Superb stay with access to pretty much everything you want and desire. Our room was fabulous very good character and the pool very nice. Safe parking for our Motor Car with excellent members of staff to help you throughout. In the morning the breakfast service is again delicious and well supplied. The hotel is very ambient and offers selection and seclusion whilst dining. I really like this. Staff exceptional, very helpful and pleasant. Highly recommended especially for stop overs whilst travelling across a brilliant country.

Stayed one night at The Novatel in Metz on our way to Italy we were late arriving due to delay at Dover on route The hotel provided an excellent 3 course evening meal that was most welcome the staff were helpful and friendly Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of hot and cold food the rooms were clean and spacious with complementary tea or coffee bathroom very good with walk in shower the disappointment I have I was not staying longer an excellent choice for a vacation
