I was given the wrong room and we booked a room with breakfast, but on arrival i had to pay for breakfast and a traveler's tax charge. Not sure what is going on with the bookings here. Luckily my room was changed. The food can also be a little better. Rubber ribs are not good as they should fall off the bone. Also to ask for toilet paper is not very nice.

Dreadful - not cheap and like a prison getting in to and out of. Music blaring out at bar area during the day so you have to shout at each other in an empty room. Service was terrible - got our orders wrong 4 times over a 24 hour duration and when food arrived following very long waits it was usually cold indicating that it had been left standing for a while. To top it all off, our son had butter chicken curry with rice and got severe food poisoning. We needed to extend stay to 4pm the following day as he was unable to get out of bed between bouts of vomiting and diarrhoea. We had a flight back to the UK at 6.30pm and he passed out at the airport and needed a wheelchair to the departure gate.

I stayed one night here on business in June. I was upgraded to a larger room as a Marriott Bonvoy Elite so that was pleasant. Unfortunately my rental car was broken into overnight in the hotel parking lot and items stolen from inside. The CCTV seems to have a blind spot where I was parked, and further blocked by a larger SUV. Hotel staff (particularly Nisha) were helpful and apologetic. They were able to get police on site very quickly to take a report, which enabled me to make my flight on time despite this issue.

Rooms are Outdates but clean - stayed in the junior suite Sufficient space New couches needed Ordered room services, want to give a tip, waiter informed no as she will not be getting it Food is a disaster, ordered Ribs and Wings with a Blue Cheese sauce. Only receive 1 Riblet and no sauce Total ripoff

Staff are very friendly but that is where it stops. None of the safes working in the room. Bathrooms at restaurant in poor state. You can't complain about the service at the restaurant as there is no service. Not getting orders right. No water in room. I will not recommend this hotel. It needs serious upgrade and work ethic training for staff. Four star hotel? No I cannot believe it.

We picked Protea thinking its a basic but well managed brand so should be ok for a 4 days visit on business. However when we went to have a drink with some business people we were shocked to find the bar was lacking at least 60% of what was listed . Lack of beers , NO tonic Water , No soda water , lack of juices and the list went on . We thought the hotel must be going bankrupt . The staff said the suppliers have failed to deliver . We checked out hastily the next day and found a decent hotel with no issues on suppliers not supplying food and beverages. So in a nutshell very disappointing and annoying as we had to change hotels .

Went to the Hotel for breakfast with my family and the professional experience we received there was a Stella one 👌🏽. From The manager on duty Amukelani who was very patient with us. To the waiters and waitresses who were forever friendly. The food was awesomely delicious we really enjoyed our time there. Will definitely call again soon.
